Yes ah, there are a few wierdo neo-nazis running around, but they aren't running a country, taking over teh world, or committing mass genocide for racist reasons. I'd say war solved something there. Victory in war ALWAYS solves many things that could either never be solved otherwise or would take generations to solve by peaceful means and probably over time cost more lives than just doing it fast & dirty. The application of targeted violence is the very most effective way to change things for the better in the shortest amount of time with the least casualties & most effective in keeping them changed for all time. Every generation there is an evil of our time that rises up in the world and must be confronted by responsible parties - that'd be us in the last hundred years and for the forseable future. Free peoples always have a responsibility to those who remain oppressed. Anything less would cause us not to be America any longer.
As far as when it become popular, its when the democratic party started championing the enemies propoganda to tear down the President so they can get elected, without regard to the great harm it does to our country. I don't care if oyu like the Pres or not, you need to keep your politics on the American side & argue your symantics for history after the fact. What does war solve that good, sincere diplomacy can't?
This question is a crock of crap.
More people have died due to senseless wars than have died of many common diseases.
The main reason people go to war? Historically it is not over territories, it's religion. Can you think of a more insane reason to kill another person just because they don't believe in your god?
As for part 2, it has never been "fashionable" to be an anti war protester. From the early roman times, through the civil war, through Vietnam, and now, the Iraq war.... people have always protested what they believed to be unjust wars.
Questions like this only exist to create more animosity between people as opposed to working together to find real solutions to the worlds problems.

Answer 1- War doesnt slove anything huh?? Anyone out there remember WW2? I do, cause without it or WW1, Id probably be speaking German or something else. War helps preserve mine & this countries freedom which so many people take advantage of.
Answer 2- Being an anti-war protester has never been fashionable in my eyes. That just shows what a coward you really are. Big words come out your mouth but I challege you to put your money where your mouth is. I do on a day to day basis. You sit there with a sign. I stand there with a weapon, ready to die so you can say "War is wrong".
Huh. Go figure.

People can say War doesn't solve anything - so let's surrender to our enemies and let them rule us. Just think how life would be then. They also forget (because the idiots don't know American History) we had to fight for our freedom 230 years ago.
I certainly am not a "go out and kill-em" thinker - but when our freedom is at stake - (if you do not think our freedom is at stake - just ask the 3000+ that died on 9/11) war must happen.
The Amused one need to take a cr@p and get over it. Amused one - it is hard to fix the world problems when your enemies do all they can to kill you. Maybe you should wake up and grow up - or maybe you should be the next victum of a terrorist attack. Then your relatives will sue the president for not protecting you - when you are full of sh!t it is hard to think - that is your problem.

I say it.
The day i was able to understand the teachings of Christ was the day it became fashionable.
Jesus would want me to fight against the forces of destruction.........
###############################################
On the surface if you didn't have to think or if you were not a real Christian, you could just rattle off some wars and prove that one side dominated another in a fight.........
you never discuss the consquences or reprucusions or alternatives.........
you can create extreme choices in the framing of war,
for example either your for war or for surrender.
this of course is a false choice.
Lets take everyones favorite example.... WW2
1) If W. Wilson had suceeded in a league of Nations, there might not have been a facist uprising in Germany.
2) If the opposition party and people not been starving or in economic shambles would they give a **** about some creepy guy named hitler
3) War was waged by Germany. Meaning in your question would it solve Germany's problem?
It didn't.
4) The United states defended itself, from Nazi's but it did not instigate war to solve the problem. It was forced to go to war the solution was to protect itself using force....
not waging war before we were attacked.
this is the point.
5) When the war was over. what was solved.
The US was ok.
But what of the rest of the world.......do you care? lets pretend you are capable...
1) The third world countries left over after WW2 were post colonialism left them no better.
2) The cold war would be fought.....or rather not fought for a long time.
3)Irsael would be created and ...........well.....if i have to explain.......
I could go on but, i feel you subscribe to the bumper sticker limts of discussion and rational thought.
korean war...........we still got a nort korea
civil war.......held the union.......but never solved the race issue......and the effects of failed in reconstruction.
cold war........never dropped the bomb.........why, because that wouldn't solve anything except how to destroy the entire planet.
Spanish War......still got immgrants commin in....
Vietnam.........well solved something but not for our side......
Iraq.......could solve the question of how to start an internal civil war.......
Prevention, addressing root cause of war, diplomacy......these are the hard decisions to make.......
surrender to enimes is a false choice, a straw man, for men of little minds.
So when did anti war movement become popular.........
2000 years ago, when the God sent his only son, to teach and die upon a cross, for our sins. and offer us a better way.

They say it can not solve anything because they lack education.
Protesting has never been and never will be fashionable. Take a "True" poll today and the vast majority of people support our troops and the war. Weak minded are the wishy, washy and try anything and everything to sway public opinion.

The anti-war protestors started with the hippies some
years back. They didn't want to be "drafted" into the
military service and fight for their Country or even just
train when no war was ongoing. And, sorry to say, it is
still going on. Some countries even have children wielding
guns and fighting, yet some of our own men refuse to defend
their own country. Today's kids insite violence against one
another, but when there is something worth fighting for (our
freedom), they become wimps.
