My boyfriend and I have been together for three years. We've had our ups and downs but have worked through things and made our relationship stronger. Currently, I'm doing ok for myself; I have a steady job, another part-time job and a nice apartment. My boyfriend recently moved in with me after discussing our relationship, values, goals etc. He had some bad luck last year with his job and car but we seemed to be on the same page when it came to resolving those things. Now, he still has no job, no car, his unemployment checks are running out, and our relationship is very unstable; the conflict is that we've talked about getting married and working through things together. I really wonder when enough is enough

if you love him and think you can make it through everything again with him than stay with him! but then again it seems like he's keeping you from having a life because your doing everything and he's just there getting a free ride! leave him and see how well he survives without you!

Marriage should be the last thing in your priority lists if you do not want things to go bad to worst. From financial point of view, if you are doing well as single, you wont be if you get married and inherit his debts!! it will be your responsible from than on.....I do not buy the crap about bad luck at least not in a long term. It's usually has to do with attitude issues. If he does not change this so call "bad luck " will be with him for the rest of his life and you do not want to share that part of his life forever. If he cannot manage his finance as a single man ...that's not gonna change when he gets married. Money is not everything, however , how one manage finanacially is a tell tale sign of a person take on responsibility in other aspect of life as well.
