I know all about infusing vodka with fruit, spices, teas, etc... But I'm curious about how I can infuse vodka with caffeine, guarana, yohimbe, ephedrine, taurine, arginine, etc... I think it would cut down on my redbull vodka consumption, and I'm sure it'd be great to take shots of vodka with a kicker!
Thanks for all your help!

I think soaking the coffee idea could work, but I'd use whole bean, not ground. Ground would be too hard to strain and might give the vodka a bitter taste too much like coffee. Sometimes I do put a few coffee beans into my brandy, but that is more for flavor so I don't know if that will draw out the caffeine. Worth a shot I guess.

Vodka is used to make tinctures for herbal remedies. A take off of that would be to take coffee beans (coarsly ground?) and stick them in a jar with vodka for two weeks, turning the jar over once a day to keep things stirred up. Use a glass jar. Sunlight ok. No idea if it would work or how bad it would taste. Otherwise crush up a No-doz in the vodka.

There are several products on the market that have already accomplished this for you, and cost less that buying red bull and vodka separately. Budweiser makes on called BE, there are also Sparks (recently purchased by Miller) and Tilt. These are malt beverages that taste very similar to red bull and vodka and are around 5-6% alcohol.

Interesting question. Try soaking ground coffee in the vodka and then straining it. Cold, heat destroys alcohol. But, why don't you just put a shot of vodka in a cup of coffee, with a splash of Bailey's or maybe Kahlua?

You do know that caffeine and liquor can be a very bad combination. First of all they are both very dehydrating to your body and second people drink too much when combining caffeine with liquor.
