I have virgin hair that has not been permed before. It is very curly and wavy. it's frizzy. it's cropped to the back of my neck. I want it to lay flat like the hispanics curly hair. I want it not to be tightly curled. Just laying lay like the hispanics' hair. I use garner soft curl cream, sunsilk de-frizz conditioner, John freida's curl perfector, and garner maximum hold hairspray. I use doo-gro herbal shampoo, and do a olive oil treatment once a week.

Unfortunately, nothing will make your hair curl like "Hispanic" women's hair exept GENETICS like they have.

A texturizer will work in loosening-up your tight curls but I doubt it will do what you want it too do. A texturizer is like a mild version of a Jerry Curl. So you will get some curls but it wont be exactly what you are looking for. It will be somewhere inbetween.

A texturizer semi-relaxes your hair and does not fully straighten it. People usually get texturizers so that they can wear their hair straight or curly. However, the more frequently you texturize your hair, the straighter it will become.

Most of the time you can tell when someone has a texturizer (s-curl) in their hair. If you take care of it, it will look nice but most people (especially black people) will be able to tell.

This is an example of the look.
