Do you mean night time nursing care?

Perhaps, but if she needs around the clock care, she may have to go to an assisted living center. The best way is to have your friend check with her mother's doctor to see exactly what type of care is needed.

Is there night time care? I don't know. Where do you live? You could call your local social service's office, or your doctor's office and ask if they could recommend a free or income based service.

Hospice provides wonderful care. Maybe your friend could call and see if her mother qualifies.

College students are usually happy to pick up some extra cash to spend a few nights a week watching over her. A good place to advertise might be the local community college, maybe even asking the nursing instructor to recommend a few students she thinks might be good.

It will be way more cost effective for her to hire someone on her own than to go through a nursing service. This would probably depend on the level of care that her mother needs though.

Yes, there are places that will do around the clock care. Contact your local hospital social worker and they should be able to connect you with some of the agencies in your area. Most often it is covered by insurance, including medicaid.

Nursing care at night, they can check with their insurance provider, or Medicare to see if this is an option on there plan. I had daytime nursing care that would come to my house and check up on me after my release from the hospital for three weeks, and to help with anything I needed.

I suppose if you've got enough money, or good insurance, you can get care any time you'd like. Check with your local home care agencies.
