Yes, of course :) I'm a devout Catholic and my best friend is Mennonite, we pray together.
It's fine, we all could use some more prayers.
God Bless!!
PS: Evy, the Rosary is a long string of prayers devoted to the life of Christ. We pray all the time, Catholicism is extremely prayerful and spiritual. We also do meditative prayers, contemplative prayers, vocal prayers, have charismatic prayer groups, prayer vigils, spontaneous prayers, and I could go on and on... I just put together a book for prayerful meditation on the Beatitudes. So, contrary to what you've been told in your life - Catholics do pray. Also, we don't pray to,or worship idols, we ask our Saints to pray for us - we do not pray to them. If you read the Litany of the Saints (go ahead, Yahoo it) you'll notice that it asks the Saints to pray for us. In the Hail Mary, the specific words regarding prayer are "Pray for us Sinners, now and at the hour of our death". You really need to get your facts straight before you start spouting falsities because you just end up looking silly.

Well, Baptist and Catholics are two different believes. Catholic don't do prayer, they do rosaries. Baptist people Believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Catholic believe also, but they also believe in idols. And God says clear that we should not worship no other God beside Him. I'm sure that you friend will not refuse to pray with you, is that is what you want to do, because we pray with all that want to seek the one true God. I did not mean to offend you. But we are no suppose to worship statues, or Marry, cause she is not a god, saint or an angel, she was equal to us. And if this offended you, it is not me who says that, Jesus the son of God which was Mary son in flesh is the one who says that. But Mary is not the mother of God.
If you want more details, I can tell you more.
God bless

What would be the problem?
Since Baptist and Roman Catholic are the same "religion" (you are both Christian) you are both praying to Jesus.

Yes! We can all pray regardless of our religious affiliation or lack thereof. Prayer is just talking to God and the pouring out of your soul...and is a beautiful thing when shared...and twice as powerful. He is a Christian...and won't mind.

Do you know him well enough to know how he'll take that request? A lot of Baptists don't consider Catholics to be 'true Christians" and would hesitate to pray with them out of fear.

Theres no problem with wanting to pray for another person! Having someone you can tell your problems and pray with them is important.
