Decide what all you're going to do and take only clothes for those activities. Leave the little black dress at home if you're not going to a really nice restaurant.

Only pack in a carry-on...then you have to pack light. Really, you won't need that many articles of clothing. A swimsuit, underwear for the entire week, a few pairs of shorts or crops, a few shirts...you can always wash your clothes at the hotel...either at the laundromat, if your hotel offers it, or in the hotel sink. Bring two paris of shoes.

Don't forget the sunblock!

One way is to work out if you have time to do your laundry. If you can, you can reduce your daily clothes needs. Example, you use a T-shirt and jean/short a day. So for a week, you need 7 sets. If you can launder in between, you need just 4 sets. If you worry about wearing the same stuff, bring those you can mix and match for more co-ordinating ideas. Bring variety of styles so you do not have to wear the same set twice. Give it a go.

Another way is to work out how much space you really need for other stuffs like presents, souvenirs and the fill the rest with your clothes, This will make you pack light of your own personal stuff.

Personal beauty aids. Get those small travelling bottles and jars and bring enough for the travel period. You do not want carry too much that can be lost or spoiled.

Hi NadRan,
Very simple take your favorite outfits. here is a list
2 Swimsuits (so you can hang one to dry while you were the other).
1 pair of your Excellent jean/capris.
2 skorts, so your thighs do not feel sticky.
2 shorts
1 nice evening dress.
3 tank top/nice light blouses/ or halters
And of course as many flip flops that match your outfits, one pair of heels (if you are into heels for clubbing) and a pair of sneakers because you will be doing lots of walking around.
For the day/night time you may want a light sweater and you can also use that indoors where the air condition is crank up.
I hope this is helpful. Most of the day you will be extremely hot and end up wearing shorts and skorts. At night you can wear jeans and nice capri pants if you have.

I travel for one to two weeks, three times a year. I have found the best way to pack light is to put your clothes in zip lock bags. You can either pack by type of clothing or by outfits. You can get up to 2 gallon sized bags and you roll you clothes in there, or fold them. Be sure and press all the air out of the zip lock bag just before you completely seal it. This affords a greater amount of space in your luggage and easier to fnd stuff. If you want larger sealable bags, you can buy them at Wal-Mart in the luggage section that will hold larger pieces of clothes, like jeans. They cost a lot more than zip lock bags, though.

I'm a compulsive overpacker, so I've learned two things that help. First, make your packing list and then pile everything on your bed you plan on taking. You can then start widdling it down until you get rid of some of the unnecessary stuff. Second, use every square inch of space in your luggage. (Hey, I didn't say I kicked the overpacking habit--I just learned how to fit more.) Most luggage pieces have a cloth bottom that can be lifted up and then velcroed back down. If you lift it up, you'll notice the bars for the rollers. I pack socks and underwear between those bars keeping it level to pack on top of. Put the cloth back down and then pack your shorts and pants next. Let the legs of your pants hang out over the edges. There's a point to it--I'll explain in a sec. So, once you have the level bottom with your pants hanging over the edges, you can start packing inside that. Put flip-flops and other flat shoes around the edges and then pack inside that. Once the bag is full, lay your pant legs up and over the stuff piled inside the luggage. This prevents them from being wrinkled and gives you more packing area. I have no brilliant solution to totally cutting back on what you pack, but I certainly can help you figure out how to fit everything in the bag. In fact, I end up packing for most of my friends and family when they go on trips because I've got it down to a science. Let me know if any of this doesn't make sense. Good luck! :)

(Oh and another helpful tip...if you have underwear you're about to throw out anyway, take that with you and as you wear it, throw it out so it gives you more space for your souvenirs as you go throughout the trip. Plus, you have less laundry. Also, pack stuff in baggies and squeeze out the air. It saves a ton of space.)

summer season clothing are the simplest to %. because of the fact they are easy and small. i could propose you verify with the lodge you're staying in the commencing up, to be sure in the event that they have laundry centers. in the event that they do, you will purely want approximately 4-5 clothing consisting of: shorts, skirts, tanks and tees (no long sleeves or denims!!!!) and then possibly 2 towels (bathe and coastline towel). in case your lodge does not have laundry, then you definately could in all possibility want approximately 8 clothing (you does no longer want to re-placed on some thing you already did because you will in all possibility sweat in it) and prefer 4-5 pj's once you're packing, be sure which you do depart extra beneficial room for something you may desire to purchase and placed across back on the way domicile. a brilliant thank you to circulate around the baggage obese is to deliver a huge bags, a small bags and a small duffle. a huge bags for storing below the plane and 2 smaller carry-on. i'm useful each little thing will slot in and you will no longer get charged for obese. as quickly as I went to Florida final month, I stayed for just about 2 weeks and purely packed 8 clothing. I purely delivered a small carry-on with me and that i controlled to make each little thing in superb condition. (clothing, towels, digicam chargers, soaps, shampoo, very own hygiene stuff.) as long as you're purely packing clothing and a few small bottles of shampoo or despite, you will no longer circulate over the decrease.

1.try to have mix and match clothes. THis way you can pack way lighter! Half the time people just pack outfits that cant corrdinate, and they getheavier suitcases.
2.Roll them up and tie it them with rubber bands, One of my friends told me it helps and possibly helps stop wrinkling. If not fold them smaller.
3.Pack toiletries that are in travel size. Like travel toothpaste, shampoo, soap. Or if your staying at a hotel, most already have those(shampoo, soap) so you can eliminate packing them. And if you find the the hotel doesnt have them(i'd doubt) then just go to a local drug store and buy them.
4. Tell yourself to save some room for souveniers. I'm guessing your going to be buying some so save a little spot for that stuff to.
5. Pack stuff that might be getting worn out so then you can wear them for the last time on your trip and then throw them out, this also will elimnate space for stuff you get while visiting.
6. Bring two pairs of shoes. One pair or walking for when you visit attractions. Then flip flops or high heels depending i you'll be going for business/to nice places or just for leisure.
7.Plus if you really need to you can buy most stuff at a local store too.

=) hope this helps!Have fun.

Me too!!! Since you are going to Florida in July, you can definately eliminate a jacket!! Only take two pairs of shoes;wear one pair, pack the other. I would pack one outfit per day and then one extra just in case you get one dirty or rip it. Try to stay in one color scheme (like black/white or pastels) so you don't have to pack different color shoes or accessories.
I was in florida in April. If you plan to go to Orlando especially Disney, don't even do your hair. NO one has good hair there. It's too humid and you spend a lot of time in the "misters" thus ruining your "do". I learned that the first day.

Have fun.

First, you should consider about how long you gonna stay and the weather. Then, bring clothes that you can do mix&match. bring trousers and pants with neutral colour, so they fit with any colour of your shirts or blouses. Lock your bag, so you don't temp to pack more clothes in the last minutes.

A good rule of thumb:
1)Lay out the clothes for your trip, plot each day, etc. and also plot how much money you'll need each day.

2) Then take half the clothes, and twice the money.
