EVOLUTION
The introduction to Genesis and to the whole Bible ascribes everything to the living God, creating, making, acting, moving, and speaking. There is no room for evolution without a flat denial of Divine revelation. One must be true the other false. All of God’s works are good, great, wondrous, and perfect.
Man starts from nothing. He begins in helplessness, ignorance, and inexperience. All his works, therefore, proceed on the principle of evolution. This principle is only seen in human affairs: from the hut to the palace; from the canoe to the ocean liner; from the spade to the plowshare to machines. But the birds build their nests today as at the beginning. There is growth and development within man, but no passing, change, or evolution out from one into another.
For this theory or fallacy of evolution to be true there would be evident stages of evolution today. You would be able to find species in many stages of evolution in nature right now. For this theory or fallacy of evolution to be true there would be no God. And that’s exactly what evolutionists believe and are trying prove. The evolutionist bases his or her conclusions on human assumptions and reasoning, instead of on the documentary evidence of the manuscripts.

Define love. Is love a mothers instinct to protect and care for her child? Is love mans way of justifying a monogamous relationship? Is love the animal kingdoms way of promiscuity?
The ability to justify and rationalize emotions is something that humans have, but love is not something that can be defined by one word or one belief.
If you are looking for a reason to justify your own belief in God and your disbelief of evolution (which is what the wording of your question leads me to believe): If you believe God created man you inherently believe God created love, it would be impossible to argue otherwise. If you believe God created evolution you inherently believe God created love ... the assumption from the beggining of the argument would automatically justify the end.
But, if you believe evolution is a seperate entitiy from God your answer is along the lines of: Emotions are a simple example of developmental stages, compare the evolution of any species, their brain power, their natural instincts, etc. The more developed a species is, the further their "love" for a partner is developed ... for example: Dolphins are known to be a monogamous species ... rats are not.
Your question is a good one ... very intriguing ... but there's no exact answer. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, just like the answer to your question is in the mind of the reader ... no matter who believes what, each person will believe what they prefer or what they have been taught to believe.
Evolution is a scientifically proven process, but whether or not God had a hand in it will never be known.

from a purely evolutionary perspective, not even considering the intervenience of any powers that be, i'd say that love and other emotions and feelings [chemical brain reactions] developed for better human survival, meant to keep us attached to each other as a group, because think about it, if humans were solitary animals, we wouldn't really be able to survive out in the wild for so many years
but i think i believe [or would like to believe] that god indeed created humans and all living organisms and all that good stuff [but not as in the genesis story] and the mechanism though which he put his plan/creation into motion [prime mover, anyone?] was through the evolution of the cosmos and biology and as part of his divine creation he made us to feel love and emotions
there's plenty of evidence for evolution of the universe, earth and living beings, but that doesn't mean that god doesn't exist necessarily, it just means that it wasn't though instant creation. perhaps the story of genesis is more of a metaphor? and remember that the bible has been translated and modified countless of times, and that the catholic church/vatican has already recognized human origins through evolution though they say that human souls are indeed a divine creation

It evolved out of hate and ignorance and darkness. And God created the Light and the darkness did not understand it. God
created the Light and with it He created Love.God is Love--and His actions in creating Man and Woman in the Garden of Eden reflect the love that he wanted all mankind to know and enjoy.
(simple paraphrase of Chapter 1, Genesis.) By the way, God believes in Evolution too---he's still working on the universe which is still changing after billions of years.

The evolution dates back a trillion years and the Bible wasn't even written then. You are tapped into a question that man cannot answer specifically, but you can believe this anything from past to present is simply a miracle of life and man has destroyed it.

If you want to put love into evolution there is an answer.
If a man and a woman love each other they are more likely to stay together. If a mother and/or father love their children they are more likely to look out for the best interests for their offspring, thus fulfilling the meaning of their life; ie, to procreate (and ensure their survival as best as they can!).
Having two parents makes it more likely for the children of that union to survive too. It all boils down to keeping those kids alive. :)

First, evolution is true. It has been proven time and time again. And you want to know where 'love' came from?
It's a natural feeling among most animals, especially mamals.
It is my belief love comes from the soul and it is also a natural process of all creatures to procreate, and protect their young. Sound familiar? .

Well lets look... where do souls come from-- Christians say God--- well in that case then animals should go to Heaven and Hell too... because animals feel love too-- its been documented that a Canadian Goose will only have one mate for thier life.... a really christian concept... so do they go to heaven too?
I'm just asking... you know because if you knew where love came from Im sure you would realize its in fact just electronic impulses in your brain and not everyones are the same- therefore the concept of love is askewed by different people, some believe in it and some dont.... so dont be a biatch

I would guess if evolution is true then love is a creation by man. Essentially broken and just a thing that we display through greeting cards and other human actions.
