I have very thick curly hair and i need something that will reduce the frizz and puff. I heard that Chi is the best. My friend has a conair and straightened my hair with it, but within the next five minutes it was getting curly again, and in about 2 hours my hair was back to normal. I need something that will last throughout the day.Any suggestions or tips will help!!

I shouldnt know this cause im a guy but whatever, Chi or Conair like the others said. To help straighten your hair with less pain, straiten it when its wet. (ill tell you what to do cause i dont know what you already know how to do)Looks like most people say chi. I guessed. Hope this helped. Im sure you look pretty anyways. : ) <3

I have hair EXACTLY like yours. I talked to my hair stylist and she told me about this straightener. It's called Ceramix Digital Ceramic Flat Iron made with 100% crushed tourmaline jewels. It has like an LCD display screen and you can control the heat. It can get hot though... like up to 212 degrees Celcius(140 F). IT's pretty fast too, so it doesn't burn your hair. It about $239, but since I bought from my stylist, she knocked off $100. It works great because when you straighten your hair, it will stay straight until it gets wet. If you did it at night and then slept like that, you wouldn't have to restraighten your hair, which is a plus. You would definately fall in love with it!

Hot Tools makes a really nice straightening iron.

The best feature to it is the adjustable heat settings. My rempant celtfro can be tamed between the 3 and 5 markers, and it goes all the way up to 10.
You want to use the lowest heat setting possible, since it will damage your hair... it will damage your hair anyway, but you don't want it to totally DIE. A little frizz is preferable to straw for hair...

Ceramic irons seem to work the best . It all depends on the type of curls that you have . I spent 130 on a ceramic hair straightener and it didn't work very well for me , but than my friend used the same straightener and it made her hair so straight and sleek . It was called the ceramic pro . I bought it off of one of the shopping channels . I have spent several hundred $ and nothing seems to work good enough for me so I have finally just accepted that my hair is curly and there is nothing I can do about it . Good luck though ! :)

A Chi is the best money can buy! And trust me you will need money, expect to dish out about 100 bucks.

My girlfriend has corse curly hair. We put a relaxer on her hair. It relaxed the curls but not for long. Be careful with chemicals. I use Sunsilk for straighening my hair with a straightening iron but my hair has gently waves. Good luck..

Go to a hair salon and get a Japanese relaxer. Your hair will be super straight after one of those.

Warning: They're not cheap.
