I believe that it very well could be the beginning of Armageddon.

This question has been asked since the time of Paul's letters to the Corinthians thirty years after Jesus' death. Some early Christians refused to work because they were just waiting around for the return. But this is understandable because Jesus even said that some of the witnesses to his ministry would be alive to see the glory of God on earth. But nothing happened before they died. Was Jesus mistaken? People have perpetually been convinced that it would happen in their lifetime. It is really quite silly because I don't think he is coming back. It's been two thousand years and countless theologians have been mistaken about Armageddon. But regardless, the Bible says no one will know so the question is really moot.

No, it is the end of the 4th world of the Hopis.

"The Fourth World shall end soon, and the Fifth World will begin. This the elders everywhere know. The Signs over many years have been fulfilled, and so few are left.

"This is the First Sign: We are told of the coming of the white-skinned men, like Pahana, but not living like Pahana men who took the land that was not theirs. And men who struck their enemies with thunder.

"This is the Second Sign: Our lands will see the coming of spinning wheels filled with voices. In his youth, my father saw this prophecy come true with his eyes -- the white men bringing their families in wagons across the prairies."

"This is the Third Sign: A strange beast like a buffalo but with great long horns, will overrun the land in large numbers. These White Feather saw with his eyes -- the coming of the white men's cattle."

"This is the Fourth Sign: The land will be crossed by snakes of iron."

"This is the Fifth Sign: The land shall be criss-crossed by a giant spider's web."

"This is the Sixth sign: The land shall be criss-crossed with rivers of stone that make pictures in the sun."

"This is the Seventh Sign: You will hear of the sea turning black, and many living things dying because of it."

"This is the Eight Sign: You will see many youth, who wear their hair long like my people, come and join the tribal nations, to learn their ways and wisdom.

"And this is the Ninth and Last Sign: You will hear of a dwelling-place in the heavens, above the earth, that shall fall with a great crash. It will appear as a blue star. Very soon after this, the ceremonies of my people will cease.

"These are the Signs that great destruction is coming. The world shall rock to and fro. The white man will battle against other people in other lands -- with those who possessed the first light of wisdom. There will be many columns of smoke and fire such as White Feather has seen the white man make in the deserts not far from here. Only those which come will cause disease and a great dying. "

The Old Wisdom of Healing:

" The Web of Life is a beautiful braid that holds the energy of all life together. Grandmother Spider's dance of spinning and weaving continues indefinitely, as new patterns within the web are being woven every moment when each new life enters the Earthwalk. At the other end of Grandmother Spider's tapestry, the web is always unraveling, as every spirit essence travels back through the doorway of the Sacred Cave to the Spirit World when life is complete.

All life shares an equal place within the Web of Life. The gifts and contributions of each and every Creature Being are very important for the survival of MotherEarth. Each Creature Being, in following through with the performance of their specific life task, affects the welfare of all the other Creature Beings in the web. Without the benefit of even one Creature's work, the Web of Life would lack the energy of wholeness necessary for the circle of life's cycles to continue on with their rhythm. "

Armageddon started before this fight in Israel...

Just look at the hurricanes, floods, fires, excessive heat...all the war, terrorism...pretty soon nowhere will be safe.

I believe Armageddon isn't just one single war...it's representative of ALL the turmoil in the world during the end times.

No, wars have been going constantly ever since Jesus ascended into heaven over two thousand years ago. Why would this particular war hold any more significance than something as catastrophic as world war two? It IS interesting though that Israel has had such a large focus placed upon it and that it is hated by so many people.

No. Take that Porgy and Bess lyric, 'the things that you're liable to read in the bible, they ain't necessarily so.' There have been lots and lots and lots of international crises in human history a lot worse than this, and we are all still here.

BUT if you are not a sceptic when it comes to religion, and you believe what you read -- I would STILL say no. If this were Armageddon, you wouldn't have to ask on Yahoo answers. You could just look out your window and the heavens would be opening up and all hell would be breaking loose. So don't worry. Things are bad, but they're not that bad.

It probably isn't, but Christians have always wanted to be alive to see Revelations come to pass. These are the Christians who will 'help' God make it happen today. So they could say to non-Christians - see we are right!!

I think some Christians are so bent on ending the world today that they will ignore some aspects of the prediction and head straight to setting off a nuclear bomb just to prove themselves right.

The book of Revelation is the drunken ramblings of someone who lost their mind.
The fight between Israel and Lebanon has to do with idiots who believe that religious junk trying to kill each other over it.
At least our wars are about money or the resources we make money on. Easy to stop with the proper application of profits. Religious wars just keep going, and going, and going.

It could be, but that armageddon would only apply to the Jews. I don't know what all the fuss is about. It's what they've been waiting for after all isn't it?
