As has been said, The bible is totally complete, there are no chapters to be added, some prophecies to be fulfilled but all the chapters have been written.
And yes many different denominations have done a bit of rewriting and such, which is entirely wrong. I do though believe the King James Version (KJV) to be wholly accurate which is not too say I'm totally against say the NIV or NKJV etc.

The New Testament Bible was assembled by the Council of Nicea when Emperor Constantine adopted Christianity into the Roman Empire and it's stayed almost the same for a long time.
But that's it's strength for most believers. If the bible where to be continually changed, many believers would think the message would bbe changed and thus, not from God directly.
Think of how off base most Christians think the Book of Mormon is.

The Bible is for all generations and no one on this earth is qualified to add anything to Gods Word.

No....it's against the Bible to add or detract anything from it. History has shown, though, the Catholics supposedly removed some non essential stuff. And, the Protestant Bible does not have all the books the Catholic Bible has......so, all Christian denominations have "gone against the grain" so to speak.
By the way, I'm a practicing Catholic

No, there is absolutely no chance of that happen. There is no theological basis for adding to the canon of scripture because God's word is complete and should not be added to or subtracted from or altered. Do some research on how the canon of scripture was constructed and the reasons why each individual book was selected.

The Book of Revelation warns of destruction for those who add or subtract from the Bible. There is nothing to be added to the Bible until the coming of Christ, when the prophecy of Revelation comes true.
