Genesis 9:11 teaches fundamenalists Christians that God promised that he wouldn't flood the Earth ever again.
Does this mean their God lied? Or do floods have natural causes?

Actually hon, you're a little south. You are calling New Orleans, also known as the sin capital of the US, the bible belt? lol that's sorta funny.
Having lived in New Orleans for many years, I can tell you that as a Southern Baptist, no one is "demonizing" Hurricane Katrina. It's a sad thing, but a natural disaster. Well, the hurricane was natural, the not building up of the levee's as they should be was the fault of bad planning.

Since when is New Orleans a "bible belt area"? There are probably more drugs, alcohol and sex in New Orleans than anywhere else in the country! The baptists didn't shoot themselves in the foot...need I say more?

I looked at a map of where the bible belt goes. according to the map New Orleans is indeed part of the bible belt. want proof? here you go
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bible_Belt
and yes there are plenty of southern baptists there. I should know I live in the Bible belt. southern baptists or any christian sect tends to shoot themselves in the foot. they should aim higher imho.

Maybe it's just me, but I've never thought of New Orleans as representative of the Bible Belt. LOL!

Hopefully Pat Robertson noticed. Hopefully he also noticed the complete absense of hurricanes, tsunamis, floods, tornados, etc in Devon, PA (which he claimed was gonna be experiencing the almighty's wrath over their refusal to teach "intelligent design").
