Every summer I get a red rash on my nose that looks like acne but it's not, it's just many tiny/medium sized red bumps especially on the tip of my nose. I don't know how to get rid of it and it just breaks out randomly and won't go away. This year, it seems to have started after I was outside in the sun one day and got worse everyday after that. My acne medicine doesn't help it and my Aveeno moisturizer seems to have made it worse over night. I also use a Neutrogena Adult Acne Treatment set every other night to help my breaking out and get rid of my old acne scars and was wondering if that could possibly help or make it worse. Any ideas how I could clear this up because it seems like it may be spreading to my cheeks a little as well. I'm pretty sure it's not rosacea but I'm not sure. I've been to a dermatologist (for my acne) and she never identified me as having any signs of rosacea. Any ideas are much appreciated!

Have you ever gotten a second opinion on your rash? Have you ever been tested for Lupus? Does your rash look like a butterfly pattern accross your nose and cheeks? Hope you can find some answers or a good dr soon as I have skin problems too and it`s a never ending battle with lotions, creams, steroids, and liguid cortizones. I have tried them all. My granddaughter prepared oatmeal, cooled it and put that on my rash until it dried and then I took a warm [not hot] bath and you know it helped me better than alot of the prescriptions. Now I`ll always have oatmeal in my cabinet as it really worked for me.

Sounds as if you are sensitive to the sun. I would first "dry" the rash out by applying some caladryl lotion to it at nights, then during the day put on a strong sun screen on that area. If it is the sun, it will be gone before you know it, and you will know how to prevent it in the future.

You really need to read "Rosacea Free Forever" by Laura Taylor (also available in electronic format here: http://www.rosaceafreeforever.info ). It's about how to permanently cure your Rosacea naturally. I cured my Rosacea permanently in only 4 days after reading this.

Stop paying paying each month good money on creams. This is exactly what the pharmaceutical industry wants you to do! They want to milk money from you each month.

A dermatologist will be able to help you diagnose that!

(Also wouldn't hurt to have your derm take a look at your acne or do a skin cancer checkup while you're still in the office too!)

If you suspect that it is an allergic reaction, try benadryl. You might try a dermatologist, it may be roseacea.
