my vote is for the alcohol .. it does work with the evaporation process .. proxcide is goodto fight infections .. or to help clean out wax build up ...
DO NOT poke the ear with qtips to try and drain it ... it can force the water further into the canal ... as for the jumping recommendations ... alllrighty then .. if that has worked in the past ... for all of you ... good umm job ...

I swim alot, and I usually tilt my head to the side of the ear with water, and jump up and down 3 times. The water should come out.

you could use a blow dryer to the back corner of the affected ear with your head tilted in the direction of the water draining. Don't worry, when I was in Dive school, I had water in my head for a week and a half after pool week.

Lay on your side with the affected ear on a warm towel, or if you go back to the pool, lay on the hot pavement. The heat will draw out the water.

Lean your head to one side. Pull on the lobe of the ear that is tilted. Eventually it will clear anyway but I know how annoying that is.

i have trouble with this too.
either
tilt your head to the side, and lightly hit the back or other side of your head.
jump when you head is tilted
shake your head side to side (head banging) for a while,
or sleep on your side with the watery ear on the pillow.
i know it is annoying to have water in your ear, so i hope this helps.

put a little rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip and clean you ear. Alcohol evaporates faster then water and will try it out.

Get out what you can, then put a little alcohol in the ears and that will help dry them out.
