cuz there is a few things wrong with that denomination, some pretty messed up stuff. You dont use musical instruments, and if a person isnt baptised b4 they die, Water baptism, they go to hell. So does anyone else agree or disagree? the name Church of Christ was slapped on a building. It means little about the content of the building and what you learn inside.

A church is just a building, it's the people in that church that matter. It is what is in a person's heart that counts. Hebrews 4:12, "For the Word of God is quick and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing assunder of soul and spirt and of the joints and marrow, and is a descerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." There are many denominations that worship the Lord, but have fallen away from Him as they have fallen away from what is in the Bible. Titus 1:16, "They profess that they know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobediant, and unto every good work reprobate. By the way, no where in the Bible does it say that you must be baptized to be saved, but many verses say that we are saved by His grace, not by what we do (Ephesians 2:8-9, Galatians 2:16, 3:11, Romans 11:6 just to name a few).

I don't think that someone that acts the way you do really has any place deciding who is right and wrong. There's more than one kind of pretty, and you apparently have the kind that is worthless - the outside kind, and it's a strangely similar concept to the outward sign on a church being much different from the inside.

First of all, there are many religions who use "Church of Christ" as part of their name. I think you need to stop criticizing other people's religions and do some research on them first.
As for the music, there are other religions who follow this practice, including the Quakers.
As for baptism: Many religions believe this. Read Acts 2:38-47 "Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ...".
Hope this helps.

The mormons call themselves the "church of Jesus Christ of laterday saints.." But how much of a Christian faith do they resemble? Christianity is full of demoniations that differ on a variety of beliefs, but the main focus of most all these churches is Jesus and salvation through His blood. My guess is you would disagree with certain doctrinal beliefs of almost any christian denomination.. but they wouldn't ascribe to those beliefs if they didn't think they were Biblical.

Yes a church should be more than a name on the outside, but is a name important?
Are names important? Sometimes they are. Who’s name do you want on your paycheck? Does it matter if someone else’s name is on the title of your car or the deed to your home? You work hard to purchase these items, you own them, and, therefore, you want the proper name on the documents that show this ownership.
Our Lord also made a purchase. He bought the church at a very costly price (Acts 20:28). He built it and called it “my church” (Matt.16: 13-18). He has rightful ownership.
Other references to the church in the Bible show this ownership. These include “the churches of Christ” (Rom.16: 16), and “the church of God” (Acts 20:28), etc. But, unlike these names, many churches today have names that are not found in Scripture, and that do not identify the owner and builder.
But notice, Christ did not purchase a building. The church is made up of the His followers. When we wear the name “church of Christ”, we name Him as the “head of the church” (Eph.1: 22-23) and we identify ourselves as a group that is trying to follow the “doctrine of Christ”(2 John 9). In contrast, a member of a denomination is identified by name as one who follows the leadership and teaching (doctrine) of that denomination.
Christ’s headship over the church is compared to a marriage relationship (Eph. 5: 21-32). Jesus loves the church and it is called the bride of Christ. The bride, the church, shows honor to the groom when she agrees to wear his name.
Suppose, for example, Mr. Smith asks his girlfriend to marry him. She agrees, but says, “Our friend Mr. Jones is a good man, so when we get married, instead of being called Mrs. Smith, I want to be called Mrs. Jones.” Would Mr. Smith have a reason to question her loyalty to him? Would he feel honored? Why would a bride wear another man’s name? Why would a church want to wear a man-made name?
We don’t have to wear man-made names. Just as the church is called several names in Scripture, we as individuals are given names we can wear. Followers of Christ are simply called things like “saints” or “disciples”. But there is also a specific name given. 1 Peter 4:16 says, “If a man suffer as a Christian… let him glorify God in this name”. Since the Bible gives us a name to wear (Christian), we do not need another name, but some are not content to be known simply by “this name”. Some want to add another name, but we were never meant to be hyphen-named Christians.
The Corinthians had this problem. Some were Paul-Christians, Apollos-Christians, and Cephus-Christians. (1 Cor.1: 10-13). Because they were divided by these various names, they were called “carnal” and not “spiritual”(1 Cor.3: 1-4). You see, a single name promotes unity, but multiple names encourage divisions. We should be content to wear the name God has given. (Isaiah 62:2)
So, is a name important? Names show honor, identify ownership, promote unity (or division), recognize leadership, signify submission, denote doctrine, and demonstrate loyalty. If these are important, then names are also important.

As for the brief reference you made to music and baptism, why not follow what the bible authorizes on these subjects? Jeses said he has "all authority" and his apostles were to teach the things he had commanded.(Matt 28:18-20) As for baptism, Jesus said, "He that believes and is baptized shall be saved." Peter said baptism is "for the remission of sins" (Acts 2:38) and that baptism "saves"(1 Peter 3:21).
As for music, the New Testament authorizes and teaches us to "sing" (Col 3:16-17, Eph 5:19). To add anything else, it is not done by Christ's authority, but by following a man-made doctrine. If we try to follow the authority of men, Christ does not have "all authority" in our spiritual lives. Most is not the same as all.
Why not be content to worship in the way God's word has instructed?

I heard this about the auto industry, but maybe it applies here to:

If engineering can't fix it, turn it over to marketing.

Some people carry their themselves with grace by acting out their beliefs in a consistent and quiet manner. Those people seem to draw strength from their well-considered ideas.

Others seem to wear their beliefs on their sleeves and be very outspoken that you should believe as they do. I find that often signals a less secure sense of themselves and their beliefs. And they can be dang annoying as they do it. Is that was has your dander up? It sets me off sometimes when they proselytize at my door. But I feel better when I can see them as seeking than when I feel attacked by them.

because of the fact we expect of we want a church as a fashion to talk with God at first. in case you do no longer could desire to wish in a church as a fashion to talk, then why do you like a church? the respond i think of is, that human beings want a "place" as a fashion to talk to a minimum of one yet another so as that they are able to augment their ideals. be conscious that, while you're doing what's suitable in any society, you sense "common" and "usual." in case you circulate to a church the place everyone thinks the way you do then you definately sense "common" and "usual." This, i think, is the actual function of a church - a place for human beings to congregate to augment a series of doctrines, dogmas and ideology so as that they sense normalized and socially usual. of direction, it is a shallow floor diagnosis - human beings additionally circulate so as that they are able to sense linked to Spirit...however the help equipment is there in a church atmosphere. It does not make any distinction - you may desire to circulate out into the forrest and commune with God - human beings try this all the time, taking in nature and appreciating its splendor - is a variety of speaking with God. The forrest is chopped down with the aid of profiteers, our so called, illustrious capitalists and is offered to everyone for any reason, see you later as they make a earnings. So the lumber is going to construct a church. They have been doing it is Solomon's time, reducing down the Cedar forests of Lebanon to construct the Temple - no concept then, given, to reforestation! a minimum of, the profiteers could reforestate what they have taken. I stay right here in Oregon the place there are super forests that are chopped down all the time...my domicile sits in front of the coastal mountain variety, and that i HATE seeing them chop those timber down - all i will do is pray they'll reforestate the mountains back particularly of leaving them barren that's what they are wont to do till they parent they are able to apply it for earnings interior the destiny. No reason to cut the forests all the way down to construct church homes. it is no longer necessary to talk with God. howdy - God advised the Israelites, he did no longer want a temple the two - yet they had to have their temple, suitable?

No, it's just a clearer, more defined church title. There could be a church called the "blahblah-hunkydorky-heyhey-woohoo-yahoo-yipee church" and be the most faithfl church ever.

Mendicles 4,34 to 4, 36:

And Jeraboam sayeth, these are the words the LORD gave unto me from the shrub of fire: "Fashion thee the name 'Church of Christ' from thy molten steel, and mount it thus-wise upon the golden brick", and the LORD saw that it was done, and it pleaseth HIM.
