I just don't understand...?

Question

Who actually believes America was "stolen?" We paid for or we killed whomever we had to get it. I think it was earned. But it was not stolen. Can anyone explain their thinking?

Lina--that history is wrong.

Disease killed many of the Indians.. The tribes fought among themselves. Without many of the tribes help the Settlers would not have lived the first winter. The people from Mexico tried to wipe out the Indians at the borders town-we were ask to help. Take a good lesson in history. Many Indians and Settlers blended it was a hard life. Both help to create a New Nation. Not all Indians agreed but enough did that where left after the diseases wiped many out. Race issues came later. Many now have that blended. Please get an education.

I believe that you are referring to the millions of Native Americans and Mexicans who were brutally slaughtered and oppressed by the early settlers. Am I correct to assume that you honestly believe that gaining America was earned by killing almost the whole race of Native Americans and kicking out the Mexicans out of their territory? Of course America was stolen. The English destroyed a wonderful culture, people and stole their land. What the English people did to the Native Americans and many other races was atrocious. I will not even get into what they did to the Africans. Can you please elaborate more on your thinking, because I just don't understand you.

Spain once occupied that which is now mexico, the american indians frequently make claims that their land was stolen, we pay them money and stuff in annual compensation, kind of a perpetual welfare program, mexico used to be just indian tribes too, basically before Spain showed up...Christopher Columbus set sail from Spain, not Germany or France etc...he's credited with discovering the americas...I don't know, the whole thing's really stupid, amounts to people trying to get a free handout etc.

Interestingly, though, we pause to note that the bitching that goes on isn't directed AT Spain, mainly because Spain already told em to go jump in the pacific...we've got bleeding hearts in america that need to bandage themselves up and stop catering to whiners. Life is what it is, america is what it is, get out there and make something of yourself and stop expecting handouts.

You mean stolen by oil companies?? Yes america was stolen by conservative christian evangalistic fascists who duped america into believing that cutting taxes was the miracle drug, when in fact the taxes they cut only effect the top tier of the richest people. Also IR recievers were found on the electronic voting machines, what for exactly? no one knows. They also had blacks and older people held from voting on time, as they processed, as they said, "required checks" on them.
