You make a honest and well reasoned argument. Few theists do. If it were up to me, this whole category would be eliminated. It does cause too many fights. I hate the name calling. I do not blame God/ or a god, just his believers who pass judgments. If I knew more theists like you I would count myself lucky.

My anger is usually directed towards those who ask idiotic questions or show immaturity by insulting my beliefs. I am not an angry person becaue of my beliefs, and I have to wonder where you have come up with these assumptions, as they seem completely biased.
I have never been another religion, nor have I ever held "faith" in the idea of a god. I am not certain about the meaning of life, but I don't appreciate the theists who will tell me that everything I believe is wrong and I am going to hell. How can they be certain, especially as religion always has hypocrisy and fault?
I enjoy poking holes in religious theory because I am human and thus like to be right. Should I allow you and others to remain ignorant about reality, or should I but out and let your faith negatively impact me?
I am far different from those who believe in a god, but as you seem to be a theist, you could not possibly know why. Do not attempt to understand what it is like to believe what I believe. Just as I cannot fathom what would make you really believe in a god, you cannot fathom why I believe you to be wrong.
I don't meet too many angry atheists, and it seems that your generalization is completely biased, and it offends me. It seems, from my biased view, that many theists are immature and uneducated, but I do not accept this as fact because I know I am biased to think ill of those who insult me.
spell check is down, excuse any errors.

I am not an atheist, I am agnostic, but I'm not angry. I have not lost faith, I simply never had it. I am perplexed by those who can believe is something with no proof, be it a Christian or an atheist. An atheist is a person of faith, faith in that they believe that there is no God. There is not proof either way. I think that an atheist is a little more out there than a Christian, for who wants to blink out of existence when they die. I don't, sure I hope that there is a God and an after life, but for me to go to hell because I have trouble believing in something that defies rational intelligence, is a bit tyrannical and I know that I do not want to be in the service of a tyrant. It is not wrong for me not to follow blindly, for if there is a God then this is the way he made me. Would you punish the snake for biting you, it is in his nature, it is the way he was made. Do you know the phrase "all dogs go to heaven", when was the last time you met a dog that believes in God. Some people were not made for blind faith, that is just a fact of life. I'm actually happy for those who can follow something they believe in so blindly, it seems to give them a purpose. My purpose and moral resolve comes souly from my heart and self made will power. I am a good person because I choose to be good, I'm sorry if this is not enough for you, but I am a very moral person, and I would give my life trying to save another, that is just the way that I was made.

I don't get angry, I am not bothered by someone believing in a high power or God. Debating is a healthy way of discussing things, what is wrong with getting others opinions. It is good to question things, it is good to gain knowledge, you don't have to be religious to be interested in it, it is part of culture. Generally if you ask a question and truly want answers then you will appreciate getting them from someone who has a differing view, otherwise why bother to ask a question in the first place. Those that are nasty and make personal comments about stupidity and such are just rude people and yes they are the same as someone who believes in a God and uses that as a reason to hate.

i am an atheist. and i have no anger towards people who do believe in god..its not an anger, but a wonder.
i am not an atheist because a religion has failed me or i have lost faith. i have never believed in god. so i do think that i am different. i do think that everyone should have the right to believe whatever they feel necessary for their personal satisfaction and well-being. i never intend to offend anyone, and i expect that everyone should respect my choice to have trust in science, just as i am expected to have respect for ones trust in their "creator" for whatever religion.
also keep in mind that you either are an atheist or you are not. you can not be a born again christian unless you have always believed in god. and if you've always believed in god you never were an atheist. and you cant just decide to be an atheist unless you never really believed in god, and if you've never really believed in god, you have been an atheist all along

-but they mostly agnostic ("I have no evidence God DOES exist...")-
if they use that reason for why they dont believe in god, then its still athiesm, not agnosticism. you have no evidence god doesnt exist, so why are you christian? bad arguments all around. in the end it winds up to faith. a rational man does not assume i have a cookie in my pocket just because a book says i do. a rational man says "show me the cookie".
i try not to bash anyone, and i dont hate anyone. or i do hate everyone. but in the end, i feel the same about everyone.
i do consider myself to be different. im probably not though. no one ever is...

Text is different than speaking, something that might come off as angry in text might come off differently when someone is actually talking. Looking for a real answer?! That is what atheism is all about. No one is inciting a debate, they are just expressing their views by saying what they think.

Great question! I look forward to seeing some answers. I always wondered why if they are atheists and profess no belief in God, why do they feel the need to get on here and deride those who hold beliefs dear.

Religious people get mad at us because we question the Bible itself. For example, where is the evidence that Noah's Ark even existed? Where's the evidence that there was a flood even?
We ask those questions, they get mad at us, we get mad at them. We merely question it and a RELIGOUS person gets mad at us because we QUESTION it!
