I'll have to go with the others on the be yourself speech. High school is a great place to learn about yourself if you always stay true to yourself. Seek out friends you have known for a long time and support each other. Try to be involved and join clubs and things so you can make new friends with the same interest. It also helps if you know someone who is in an older class. Try not to be too nervous and good luck!

I remember that feeling! i am just starting college this year, so i am sooort of in the same boat. regardless, I've been there. My tips for you are pretty important: Be excited, that way you are sure to have a good time and be ready to keep morale up the whole four years through. Join a club or sport or program (this is SO important, band and stage crew are the only things that made highschool worth anything for me). BE NICE! Smile and you will be smiled upon. Make friends with upperclassmen, but never leave the friends in your grade. Work your hardest in class, it'll really be worth it by the time you go to take your SATS. Dress the way you dress, don't go picking up on some lame fad that you don't particularly agree with just because your friends like it. People in highshcool will be so much more appreciatve then in middle school, so just be yourself and speak your own mind! Best of luck!

Change is difficult for everyone. Wear a cute outfit that makes you feel confident. Remember that all the freshmen are new too, you are not the only one. It will take a while to learn your way around the new school. You'll be fine, you're going to meet new people, and I'm sure that you'll see some that you knew in Jr High (middle school).

I personally changed high schools 7 different times in the 4 years i went and the best thing i remember doing was taking a weekend with my mom and just relaxing. Remember when you go in to be confident in yourself. The first person who is going to judge you is yourself. Keep a bright aspect on things and you will make it thru no matter what. Hope you stay in school. Best of Luck to you.

I am too! Yeah everyone will be nervous. Try hanging out with your friends or a familiar face and you can battle the first day together. Hopefully, the teachers will cut you some slack if your late to class, but try asking other teachers or people for help.

yes. Be YOURSELF. Try not to get sucked in by the "cool" people. Pay attention in class and do your homework. Try not to get involved with guys to soon or you will wind up in the girlsroom, crying like all the other girls with boyfriends always do. The drama. Have FUN, go to ALL the dances. It's like Jr. High but with 4x the amount of people and 100x the pressure to do things you shouldn't.Relax, you'll be fine.

No need to be nervous. I was all hyped up and nervous and there was nothing to be nervous about! Itall be fine. Remember, you're there when hundreds of other Freshman, so you're all in it together.
When I started everyone was all like.. everyone thinks of Freshmen as 'fresh meat' and all this other crap. Never got bothered about that. Itall be fine! :P

Dont sell yourself short. Everyone goes through it. New friends, more activities and maybe even a cool teacher or two. Hang in there kiddo. You'll make it.
