SO my air was just on and the it started to loose its hum,,,, sound. now do i just leave it off for a bit or throw it out the window?

Yeah leave it alone for a while and see if it resets. Then you can throw it at something.

change the filters if they are dirty the air can't pass through it and the unit will freeze up. if you do not have one just remove it until tomorrow. you can tell if it froze up some water around the furnace and on the pipes - acts like its run but does not cool the house.

same here i live in nj, and for some reason it stopped, i would wait a bit, but no progress here
