"Traditional values" meant my grandmothers couldn't vote. "Traditional values" meant it was okay to deny certain jobs to African-Americans. "Traditional values" meant it was illegal for blacks and whites to intermarry.
"Traditional values" currently means that it's permissible -- and in fact, it's legal in most states -- to force homosexuals out of their jobs just because they're gay.
Give me non-traditional values every time.
