Dependent on how much you want on your computer. If you want a ton of stuff similar to windows get something like red hat. If you want amazing speed and very small size, the ability to put what you want on your computer something like gentoo is good. Currently I'm using Ubuntu.

pclinuxos. Red hat is more for business. :)
