NO they are not, years ago they used to 42 inches now most of them are over 44. The larger club head makes that possible. A lot of people would play a lot better using the larger head with a shorter shaft. They would keep it in play. A couple times a month I will hear a comment about someone who purchased their wife and new driver. They tried it and hit it great. We had a ladies Taylor Made in the shop that we sold four times. Once they realized they purchased a ladies driver the man brought it back. They never complained about how they hit it. The ladies drivers of today are the same length the men's drivers used to be.

No you can custom make your driver to any length you want. There are several drivers that came from the factory overlength. When you get really into the game a lot of people will get fitted for custom made clubs. Ovbiously someone 6'4" tall probably won't use the same lenth clubs as someone 5'4"

No! Drivers usually come standard with a 45" to 46" shaft, but You can have it lengthened to help You gain some distance. Be care full in doing so as it can cause irregularities in Your swing.

NO. The standard is about 45 inches. A quarter of an inch makes different. Mine is 44 and 3 quarters. Making it easier to hit. Some make it longer like a friend of mine making it two inches longer thinking he will hit longer. Off the store shelve usually it's between 44 and 3 quarters to 46.

no. average length is 45", I believe the max length allowed by the pga is something like 50". keep in mind the longer the shaft the greater the distance but also less consistent accuracy. simply bcuz it's longer won't necessarily help your game out.

No, no, no... They all come pretty much standard, 45"-46"... But take Tiger for instance, he just switched to a longer driver (48") to get more distance...
