Lady, you'll be fine...lot of people get stage nerves but it's a good thing to use as motivation. I've done small things here and there and when I get up in front of people Yeah I get the jitters, but I turn that into energy. It's a performance and you don't necessarily gotta be you on stage, you just gotta give it your best. You'll be fine, just relax the nerves a bit before going on, and don't stress out on what people think of you.

Personally, I feel where Alica Keys is a present day singer, and she's a really good artist with a style of her own. Of course the song would be done in ur style and way of presenting it to the audiance, maybe a song that people are not as familar with and you can almost get them to like the song, and by doing a song that is not as common or one that is not heard as much- people will be more willing to listen to you, rather than hearing something thats on the radio or tv all the time. People are always willing to hear something new-- -new can be somethign really old- yet revamp'd and made awsome, which I bet you can do really good. As for the stage fright, have you practiced infront of smaller audiances or not as large audiances maybe even half the size, infront of a school wit students, different audiances and age groups, and have you seen their past reactions and how they responded to you, little things like these , and recounts of past preformences you've done, think of those- and just imagine it's all the audiances you've so far preform'd too, but put altogether, look at it broken down a bit and just think they're all here this time and they're all here to see me , they wouldn't come if they didnt' wanna see wut i can do . So get out there and do what you can! all the best to you!

A good song is a song without much range (a song where the notes are close together). Every Little Bit Hurts by Alicia is really a hard song. Espically near the end. Try like Every Time We Touch by Casada. To get rid of your stage fright, first do group songs (like join a choir) and perform in front of a large audience. Then opt for a solo since you will have more confidence. You will also have a better voice. Try to start out slow, if you really want to get better fast, take voice lessons from an expert. But the disadvantage of taking lessons from a voice teacher is that fact that you won't get to sing in front of an audience. Just keep your chin up and try your hardest...good luck!

What you need is selfconfidence. I realize 2000 or more people can be an awesome sight, but if you really do have a good voice and you are happy with yourself and your singing, then SING AWAY sweetheart and don't sweat the small stuff, :)
I don't know the song you are going to sing, but if it's a happy one, just remember to smile and go with the body motions. You can do it!
I hope you win, God Bless You.

its a good song just as long as you can sing to it..
to get rid of your stage fright, practice singing with an audience...
its really helpful... try doing it 5 times... then try singing with even larger crowds.. and see how you feel then..
hope this helps you..! :)
good luck!!
and pray to God!! (very important)
