Okay, first of all, start with the word 'illegally'. When you're doing something illegally, it means that your actions fall outside of lawful practice. For instance, you're driving 80MPH in a 55. Let's say 5 other people are doing it. Are you all breaking the law? Yes.
Do a lot of people do it? Yeah. Is it still illegal? Yep.

Major problems I see with Mexico moving north at will without regard for our immigration laws:
Greater burden for american taxpayers, more population will require more police. More hospitals. More roads. More schools. More electricity. More water.More more more more more. Kind of think 'growth on steroids'. And, it's not anything that the residents of this country A) wanted, or B) voted for, but rather a status quo that's been brought about by high-minded politicians who apparently are above consulting with the average normal people, the actual residents and citizens of the United States on the issue.

I think the mass illegal immigration is an extension of previous years' flawed policy, greedy employers, CORRUPTION that's been going on for years with bodies like the Border Patrol and Congress itself, I think that Mexico's got enough resources to support its' own people, I don't need a mexican gardener/housekeeper/nanny etc., I was raised to do my own chores and I don't need 'help' that way. I think that the multiculturalism fans are dreaming their way through this one, I think that there's serious issues that can serve to threaten our society, I think it's no accident that some 30-40% of the people in our prisons are mexican/other illegal hispanic, I think there's an identifiable anti-american movement within the hispanic community, and it's time that all of this be brought to a stop.

People that come to our country need to realize the impact they have on residents that are already here. If that impact is negative, or percieved in ANY way as hostile, or belligerent, there will be problems, there's already BEEN problems, and the La Raza types etc have been studiously feeding that fire. Mexico's not turning out to be a good neighbor, in many respects, and I'm glad they're finally talking about getting the border fence built, getting law enforcement empowered to actually start getting people deported out of our country, and frankly I think we've waited too long already by YEARS to enforce the law.

America's a great country, sure. But, it's also a nation of laws whose first and foremost duty is the safety and well-being of its' own citizens. Do YOU think that's being enhanced by bringing in 2 million people a year from mexico? Honestly? I disagree. I think the only party benefiting from what we're witnessing now is Mexico, and as americans we're going to have to make some choices in terms of how much of that we want to be party to.
Mexico needs reforms, they've needed reforms for decades.
We send them money, we send them this, we send them that,
and they return asking for MORE. At some point, SOMEbody's going to have to say 'NO', as in 'no mas, senor'. I think the time has come to say exactly that. LEGAL IMMIGRANTS ONLY, and legal immigration needs to be cleaned up, too.

There's 8.4 trillion in red ink on the books, how deep do YOU wanna go? LOL What's the INTEREST on 8.4 trillion dollars?
Like paying taxes? The higher that number goes, which is a result of annual deficit spending by our government, which is incurred because in part of people asking for stupid handout programs for the poor, whoever they are, never met a 'poor' in my life, the higher that number goes, the higher the interest goes, the higher the interest goes, the higher your taxes go. At some point, you exhaust the capacity of the whole thing to work anymore. So, Mexico needs to take care of its' own poor, and/or have less kids. It's called 'birth control', as in 'cant feed em, don't breed em'.

Maybe a better topic for your thesis might be 'The Slow-Motion Invasion Of America'....

The same problem I have with ANY race of people coming here illegally. I'll make it simple instead of ranting (like I normally do, lol), if I can't break the law then why should they be able to?

It's a matter of basic fairness. A matter of right vs wrong. I was taught breaking the law was wrong. Is it any less wrong if you happen to be a poor Mexican? No.

The problem I have is 1. Your breaking the law, 2. You expect me to speak Spanish when I'm in my country not yours. 3. The burden they place on the economy once they have children which are American since they're born here and then are allowed welfare benefits. 4. They pay no taxes 5. But what really hacks me off is my government is allowing this invasion to happen. We're being invaded by people who believe Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona are still part of Mexico.

Your in college and you are asking this question, good God. Well if you must no it is because they are over running our borders, breaking the law by entering with out permission, all countries have immigration laws, they are breaking the law asking for rights they have no right to. They are costing the tax payer billions of dollars each year. They can come if they come legally like everyone else has to do, why should they be rewarded for breaking the law.

They have no respect for our laws, They break the law to get here. I'm not rich and can't take advantage of these people. Not being a high wage earner they are driving down the cost of labor-MONEY OUT OF MY PAYCHECK! They drive up the cost of government services-MONEY OUT OF MY TAXES! And they have no respect for our American way of life-THEY DON'T WANT TO ASSIMILATE! I refuse to do business with any mexican that is more proud of that beaner flag he is flying the the country where he is living & stealing.

Because when they come over here they take away from the job force. They live free and have many children. They can have lots of kids and still go on welfare. I am disabled and cant even get any help.

they take our jobs becaue companies can pay them less for the work, hm we pretty much pay for them to live here we pay taxes so they can get welfare when there are US citizens who cannot qualify for it. at the ATM we have to select what language we speak what the US should do is just buy up all of mexico and be done with it. No fence building, no mexican illegals. Make them pay taxes!!!!!!!!!!! Every other person who wants to be a citizen or who is a citizen has to when they work.

because they came illegal and they are breaking many more laws as a result such as using another persons SS number , no car insurance and if they do it's usually fake , no drivers license , and companies that hire them pay them less as a result its killing the working class of America also we will be facing population problems in the future raising health care costs a rise in dangerous diseases and border problems did you know mexico is not a poor country but because of corruption they refuse to take care of their own . i think you should do your paper on that why should America pay for mexico's corruption?

I think legal immigrants are great for our economy and did it legally. Legal immigrants obeyed are laws and are jumping through the hoops the legal way. Illegal immigrants don't deserve to be here, because obviously, they do not respect the laws of America and demand to be here because of some false notion that our economy will collapse from our governments continued support of slave labor.
