Put your AC on Automatic and set an ideal temperature. A good ideal tempertaure setting for your AC is 78º F(~25.5º C.) and leave it running all day!. The lower the temperature setting, the more the AC will run which may run kinda expensive. A slightly warmer temperature wont hurt you and will save you more electricity.

It is HORRIBLE everywhere!!!! I think the entire US is suffering from this heat wave! We have our AC set to come on and off intermittenly. If at all possible, we just have our ceiling fans on. But even with the AC on for a little while, our $@#$*% electric bill has skyrocketted!!!

Another good way to beat the heat is to go to the mall or someplace that is airconditioned. Or you could buy one of those cheap kiddie pools and lounge around in the water (unless of course you own a real pool!)

The heat wave is dangerous to be in for any length of time.

If you shut off your a/c it will just have to work harder & use more energy to cool down the space that had gotten hot. If you keep it cool all the time, then it would use less energy to be constant.
