All they have to do is buy it. Slowly but surely all the large corporations are being bought by foreign companies. The corporations control what is presented or not presented to government to be voted on and what the president acts on. So buy most of the corporations and you control the government,no fuss no muss. America can be bought!

Although I am not a fan, Bush IS our president. I think he and Karl Rove would welcome any attempt at reclaiming the "original colonies" by force. Then Bush could take credit for bringing the troops home from Iraq, and this would certainly help his cronies in the mid-term elections. I imagine that we might hear him again say "bring it on." If you haven't noticed, he's a little mercenary.
I think the general public might be interested in any such armed attempt by Britain. We wouldn't want them to win, of course, but many Americans would be happy to have the National Guard back home, and we'd probably watch the highlights on CNN.
If the questioner is British, I want to wish you luck with New Hampshire (they have an intriguing state motto). And Massachsetts - I don't believe they remember you fondly. That said, we could probably arrange for a peaceful transfer of New Jersey to your control in exchange for leaving the rest of us alone. Football starts in a couple months (our football, that is), and the World Series is coming up. We'd hate to have that pre-empted.

Give me one good reason they'd want those 13 colonies back. Why would they want a dirty, polluted, section of the country that's currently run by a little tin god in Washington D.C. who has managed to drag that section of the country down the toilet along with the rest of the country? England has enough problems right now - they have Bush's buddy Tony Blair - why would they want more problems?

The difference is when the colonies kicked out the queen's butt, they made it difficult for the English to come back in, and those laws remain strict; with Texas they have treated this like an open border for cheap labor; need say more?

Well, if certain Mexicans want to claim a lot of U.S. states back on the ground that it was once theirs ... then by the same token Britain should be able to claim the 13 states back ... mind you, they DO have a bit more sense ... or has anybody heard any Brit rumbling about getting their colonies back? Thought not .....

Good point. It is only fair if we had to give the Southern States back to Mexico why shouldn't we do the same to England.

Mexico can largely go to hell, for my nickel. We've supported them and tolerated their clever cross-border antics for long enough. They need to pull their socks up, and get a handle on issues like population growth and pollution etc. America can't do it all for em. Nor should we be expected to.
Support the post-haste construction of the border fence, let's see our border respected/protected, go through the Border Patrol for conflicts-of-interest, same with state legislatures/city governments, if people can't figure out which side of the border they live on, then they need to take geography and american government classes...or get on a plane, and leave...
