To find out why God allows suffering, we need to think back to the time when suffering began. When Satan led Adam and Eve into disobeying Jehovah(Psalms 83:18) God, an important question was raised. Satan did not call into question Jehovah's
power. Even Satan knows that there is no limit to Jehovah's
power. Rather Satan questioned Jehovah's right to rule.By calling God a liar who withholds good from His subjects, Satan
charged that Jehovah is a bad ruler. (Genisis 3:2-5) Satan
implied that mankind would be better off without God's ruler-
ship. This was an attack on Jehovah's sovereignty, his right
to rule.
Also Adam and Eve and Satan were not the only ones involved. Millions of angels were watching. (Job 38:7; Daniel
7:10) How Jehovah handled the rebellion would greatly affect
all those angels and eventually all creation. So Jehovah has
allowed Satan to show how he would rule mankind. He has
allowed humans to govern themselves under Satan's guidance.
Adam and Eve and Satan rebelled because of there own
selfish desires.
Jehovah's original purpose was a world filled with perfect
offspring (Genisis 1:28) Instead through Adam sin was passed
on to all mankind.(Romans 5:12). At Isaiah 55:10,11 it foretells
that Jehovah's original purpose will come true, just as the rain
brings about vegetation and waters the flowers. That is how sure
Jehovah's original purpose is. It will come true. For Jehovah
does not lie.(Titus 1:2)
In order for God's ordiginal purpose to be fullfilled the wicked
will have to be removed forever. In Psalms 37:9-11 evildoers will
be done away with and the meek will inherit the earth and live
forever upon it. We are now approaching that time. In fact in
2 Timothy 3:1-5 the peoples attitudes are listed as the last days.
And at Revelation 21:3-5 these former things, such as pain,
sorrow and death will be done away with. This is a promise
from Jehovah God to all mankind.

See that's where religious people say that God allows evil because a.) people have free will and therefore freely do evil
b.) God has a purpose for the evil that we don't see
Counter arguements include, a.) if God is all knowing and all powerful then why couldn't he create people who would freely do good
b.) If God is so powerful why does he need to allow such suffering to achieve his aims?
Those are just some of the arguements into the nature of evil. There are many many more and quite a few are compelling one way or the other. Unfortunately I can't remember some of the people who put forth the arguements. But if you can I'd recommend taking a class on the philosophy of religion or attending a seminar.

One school of thought (or theory) is that we choose the lessons we are to learn in this lifetime, such as if we were a man in a previous life and raped a child, we would come back in a new life as the one raped. This happens as a punishment for what we did in that life (or karma). We 'chose' it because of what we did in that life - and God allows us to do that instead of sending us directly to hell. Sometimes we choose to come into this life with diseases, or handicaps, more to help someone else learn the lessons they are to learn, and sometimes to learn the lessons we need to learn to get to Heaven eventually.
Since I have met no-one that has died and gone to Heaven and come back to life with 100% memory of a past life, only portions of it, I cannot say this is not a possibility. But I do know this, if there was no pain and suffering in the world we would not recognize it when things were better - we would think the 'good' times were bad times.
I cry when I see pain inflicted, suffering and injustice but it is the way it is and I can only help my small area of life, not the whole world. Maybe these things happen to see how many of us will sit back and watch it happen and how many will step up and try to stop it from happening.

I don't know if you want to accept this answer or not but did you ever hear of a being that is called the Devil? Satan? Lucifer?
Believe it or not, God Almighty did not do all those things to the children as you described but everyone except one you wrote is inflicted by mankind. Even priests are subsceptable to fall under the devil's power. Even thought they speak words and wear the clothes, it does not mean they are true worshipers of God.
I'll give you a perfect example..... Adam, the first being created. Although he was not decieved by the devil [1Tim.2:14] he still fell under the power of the devil. Infact he willingly gave himself over to the devil for the woman and this one act did put all of Mankind under the control of the Devil.
Here's the thing..... The Devil hate's God with a passion and tried to bring God down but failed and the devil knows that he can never win over God.... but the devil also knows that God really does love Mankind....so the only way the devil can hurt God at all is to hurt us.... even to the point as parading as minister's so people would reject worshiping God as well.
Just because they speak the words and wear the clothes don't make them true worshipers of God.
One more thing..... I don't want to say this but it has to said. I might end up with some enemies after this but it's the truth. God does not create babies with imperfections. If the parents are not worshipping God correctly, they are open to spiritual attacks and it isn't God that gives babies/children or anyone disease's of anykind. It come's from somewhere else.
I hope I have not offended anyone with my answer but I do hope you find your answers.

The answer is simple if your pea brain can absorb it. God allows the devil certain leeways. God lets things happen that we have no control over, but it certainly not God doing this. It is the devil's work. Put the blame where it belongs. There is nothing hard about your question. If you would spend more time reading the Bible and following it's teachings, instead of trying to tear it down, you would know this. And you might as well quit trying to refute the Bible. They have been trying it for years, and not one has made any headway yet.

Oh Lord...
Ok, Adam and Eve sinned, which brought sin into the world. That's why everything is screwed up in life. Also, God, Jesus Christ, DOES NOT make bad things happen in the world. We have to understand that we have an adversary (Satan) who, the Bible says, comes to steal, kill, and to destroy. The Bible also says that "the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto THEIR cry. The face of the Lord is against them that do evil..." (Psalm 34)
You have to understand that if you're not righteous, God doesn't hear your cry for the world to get better. And let me tell you something...THE WORLD IS NOT GETTING ANY BETTER! God told us in His word, that we WILL have tribulation, but He says, "Peace, I have overcome the world." You need Jesus to be able to survive in this world. Accept Him now, before it's too late. It's not a game, a joke, a prank...you can push Him away all you want to, but when things start to go wrong in your life, you're not going to have anyone to call on, or to whom to cast your cares on.
Satan is why the world is the way it is....
You Think...

This is a question every Christian asks, too. God had created this world perfect, but after the fall He cursed the world, cursed man, and cursed creation. He gave a promise at the same time of sending a redeemer, Jesus, to make all things right. He kept his promise and Jesus came to testify of Truth in this world, and he was crucified, died, and buried. He descended to hell and was raised on the third day, powerful and victorious over sin and death. Everyone who believes on him and trusts him as their only source of salvation will be saved; their sins forgiven, and raised to eternal life. Since Jesus ascended back to Heaven, this world is in an "in between" state. Jesus has come, and Jesus has won, but now is a time of God's mercy on us - giving humankind a chance to believe on Jesus and be saved. In the meantime, the devil is still in the world and is trying to steal what has been won by Jesus. It is because of this that people do bad things. God doesn't condone evil - it will ALL be punished! - but if He were to punish the entire world now and destroy us all then that would be against His grace to allow us a chance to choose Him.

No human can answer why the Higher Power they believe in (let's just say God) allows for such atrocities. One reason is that most religious people do not equate Lucifer into any of their conversations. No, I do not worship Lucifer nor any entity within that realm of thought, but I bring this up for a point...maybe something to marinate on.
Here's Lucifer, in Heaven, seated next to God (as it is written, which is another story all together but let me not get off on that rant). The most beautiful angel of them all, Lucifer is/was (whichever is applicable), and for upsetting God by questioning why humans were being revelled and admired more than he, God kicked him out of Heaven, and cast him into Hades. But God did not take Lucifer's powers away from him...hmm.
So here's this anti-good (to cover everything thing that happens negatively to humans) that has the same heavenly powers that God let him keep. Why did God let Lucifer keep his powers? Trust me, no one is going to know (not speculate, but know) the beginning because none of us were there. And since none of us were there in the beginning, none of us were there in Heaven while Lucifer went left against God's right, the people of this world will never know.
This applies to all religious/spiritual sects: there is something negative about all good...maybe that's just life the way it's supposed to be.

Sorry, but I think that free will explains it all.
Why ask a question if you are going to tell people how to answer or not to answer. Don't you want to know how people honestly feel? Why isn't my mind open just because you don't agree with what I say. I think my mind would be closed, if I didn't say/believe something just because a stranger told me not to.
It's like asking a person what their favorite color is, but telling them they can't pick blue. If their favorite color is blue, then it's blue.
I'm not sure that this is a hard question for "religious" people as much as it is that their answer is hard for you to accept. And that's fine if you don't want to accept it, just don't tell people to "think" until they come up with an answer that is agreeable with you.

As you recall, God created a perfect world. It was MAN who screwed everything up. Man brought sin into the world which brought suffering... We live in a world that is full of sin. God only knows why some things happen. The only thing we can do is keep faith because God is in control.
