I hear that between Afghanistan and Iraq that we (America) are over stretched and we cant afford another theatre of war. But isnt our military designed to be able to fight multiple fronts at once?

The US military was designed to fight a "two front" war after WWII (in which we fought a two front war). But after Vietnam and the end of the draft, we slowly started scaling back forces. By the first Gulf war, it was seriously in doubt that we had the forces. Now with Gulf 2 it's painfully obvious that we're mobilizig National Guard forces, Reserves, stop loss (no getting out at the end of your tour) and lowering age barriers (you can now elist at age 42) we can't fight that two front war.

They are stretched thin because the military is losing the soldiers. Families are only together every other year or so. Enlisted soldiers don't want to stay in a job where they spend half of their time away from their wife and children.

You must be listening too the liberal press and those in congress... America and its military can handle any problem out there right now, but it wouldn't hurt if we started beefing back up our military after all it only took Hillary Clinton 8 years too screw it up during her presidency.

Yes, our country is very capable of fighting many wars at once but it is about the Americans and we donot need anymore war taxes or to spead pity money other countries.

It is nothing more than the Liberals trying to stur up trouble. We are NOT over streached, and can deal with the present problems just fine.

Anyone who tells you this dosn't know what they are talking about, or is simply trying to cause problems.

Because we have troops spread all over the world instead of concentrating on one part of the world
