I am too busy chasing the killer bees. Oh, wait, that never happened, either.
Wait before that it was swine flu, then Y2K, then bird flu, then the Missles of October, then the Bay of Pigs, then Chernobyl, then Three Mile Island then....
With age comes wisdom.

I have often wondered that myself.
The scientific evidence is overwhelming and there really is no debate withing the scientific community at this point, in spite of the many claims to the contrary. Those who are arguing against global warming at this point have either been paid to do so or simply are uninformed.
The risks posed by global warming are extreme. Look at the weather across the country today for example. Within the last few days and within a few days to follow all time temperature records will be set all over the country. This weather is a direct result of global warming. Many people will die over the next few days as a result of extreme temperatures. Many people are unaware of the fact that heat waves kill more Americans than any other type of weather event. Consider the Chicago heatwave of 1995: "In July 1995, a heat wave in Chicago, Illinois led to approximately 600 heat-related deaths over a period of five days. It is now considered to be one of the worst weather-related disasters in Illinois history." That is nearly as many people as Katrina killed.
The things that we need to do to reduce global warming are all things that would be good for the environment (reduce all forms of pollution), would be good for the economy (reduces energy costs and creates a new industries), would be good for terrorism (reduces money flowing to the Middle East), and finally that we will end up doing eventually anyway (we will run out of fossil fuels fairly soon in any case), but under much less favorable conditions if we wait too long.
Why risk the weather changes, the ocean rise, the food and water shortages, the flooding of coastal cities, the storms and the heatwaves?
Global warming is here and it is getting worse.

There are scientists on both side of the debate.
I doubt you personally have the sort of knowledge required to say anything definitive, and neither do I, so I won't.
I have one query though - if you 'know' that patterns are 'crap', how do you explain the last ice age? You realise that before that ice age, things must have been cooling? And there may well have been previous ice ages, after which it would have warmed for a while, then cooled again?
How can you be so sure about things when you don't actually know?
There are so many things in the world that are 100% certain, and people don't believe them. Why berate people in an issue that is by no means resolved?

The computer models they are using to predict global warming are crap. We can only predict next week's weather with a 70% accuracy, AT BEST, and you expect me to trust one that forecasts 100 years into the future? LMAO!
There's no evidence that any "apparent" increase in average global temperature is outside of the nonanthropogenic variations observed in geologic time.

Because the history of the world did not begin with you birth. How could you possibly know what the weather was like 1000 years ago? The planet might be in a cycle of heating, but the planet cools as well.
What did we do to cause the ice age? Nothing, the planet has its own mechanisms and humans are not the cause of it, although some might want to believe that. I think it is arrogant to assume that we have that kind of power over the planet.

How do you know what the temperature was 1000 years ago and don't give me that crap about scientific evidence. The so called scientific people haven't proved anything so far. why did you even ask the queation since you know all the answers? hummm!

Some people don't believe in global warming because some of the information supporting global warming is just speculation. Besides, some people are just uneducated!!

Latest science, polar caps melting, massive influx of fresh water into the oceans, fresh water lighter then salt. Then it shuts down global ocean currents.Currents regulate global temps.Throwing earth into Ice Age.

actually we dont know for def that it is true . now hold on a minute I believe it is true ,but our scientific records dont go back far enough.to catagorically prove it and some people say all the time PROVE IT and we cant .when their assss is floating out their door and down the street then you can say there happy now.
