REMOVING FROM HAIR:
Try a little peanut butter, Vaseline or cold cream on the wad. This
should soften the gum enough to remove it with your fingers.

another advocate for peanut butter:

Spread peanut butter onto the hair where the gum is attached and massage into the gum. Let it set for about 15 minutes, then rub again. It should start to crumble apart; then wash hair in regular shampoo. Repeat process if necessary.

I had heard that peanut butter works really well so I tried it when my daughter got gum in her hair and believe it or not it worked great, we didn't have to cut anything out at all and she had really long blonde hair that hung in ringlet curls to her backside, so try it the worst that could happen is that you have to wash her hair after you cut the gum out. Good luck

When my daughter got gum in her hair I used peanut butter and it came right out and then we washed it to get peanut butter out . It worked like a charm. Good luck.

Peanut butter!

My son had just gotten a gorgeous new haircut. I didn't notice him taking some of his brother's gum when we got into the van. When we got to daycare, he was completely covered with gum!

His caregivers told me to stop crying, I wouldn't have to shave his head, and they'll take care of it. Well, when I saw him next, he was perfect! They said that they just use peanut butter.

try a ice cube

hold it on the gum till
it is kinda frozen/hard
it helps to take it out easier
all you can do is seperate the
hair from the gum as you go.

But my girls have done the
gum hair thing a couple times
and ice has always worked for me.

Good Luck
