I have two small kids my wife left me and the house behind.
iam with my kids 5 days a week , my girlfriend is 48 and wonderful
i dont know if i should take the next step i don't want to hurt her or make the wrong decision

If you truly care for her the age should not make a difference. Other people may think so, but who cares? You have to live your life for yourself and your children of course. I am not sure if your g/f has met your children. You should see how they react to each other and then just take things from there. Make absolutely sure she will be great to your children. They should always be your #1 priority.

So what's the question? Is it the fact that there is such a big age difference???
My husband and I are 8 years apart, I am the older one...
some people were uncomfortable but "oh well"
If you feel in your heart that you and her are ready to take the next step then do it!!!
Only you have the answer to that question... But always keep the best interest of your kids in mind too.... Good Luck!!!

If you love her go for it.
Me and my girlfriend are the opposite
of both of you I am 47 and she is 36.
We almost have a year living together
and if things go as planed we'll be
married next year. I understand the doubt
it will be my second marriage too,
but if you love her and she loves you don't
worry it will work out, don't let the fear get to you.
