I am, of course, using flawed logic, but it is the same flawed logic as the Mexican and the Indians use.

We paid $15 million in 1848 and forgave $4 million in debt to Mexico, back when that was a lot of money, and now they believe that we have 'stolen' their land and that it is theirs for the taking.

We gave the Indian quite a few beads, jugs of firewater, and thundersticks for the land now possessed by Americans. The Indians 130 years decided they wanted their property back, fought for it, and got their asses handed to them. They're still whining about the property they legally gave up.

So, if I legally sold my car for $1000, can I take it back and keep the money, because, after all, I owned it first...

Texas had already declared Independence from Mexico, and Mexico didn't have the strength to govern the Southwest, it would have broken away.

They got paid for something they were going to lose anyways. There was no gun to their head.

It would be like if I left an ice cube in the Sun and someone paid me a dollar for it. I was going to lose it anyways, but I got paid for it too.

Did someone come up to your house and TELL you that they were going to TAKE your car...or you could sell it to them(when in fact you weren't looking to "sell" it)? Were you tricked into selling it?

Yeah, I get what you are trying to say, but I do feel for the Indians. They were just living here, off the land. "We" come and totally change their way of living.

To repay "them" would be hard. We are not the ones who did the taking. It was our ancestors who took it from their ancestors. (Same goes for the Mexicans and "us" taking Texas, and for slavery). The best we can do at this point is to accept one another and live our lives.(Also pray that no one comes here again to take "our" land.)

Wow. La Raza is teaching you well. Keep the hate up. I would not sink to your level. I suppose the USA owes every damn person in the world support. That is what you are getting at isn't now? How about third world countries provide for their ppl a living friggin wage. Then you won't have to worry about Native Americans anymore. I dare you to go to the Cheyenne River REZ and talk your smack there. Or any for that matter any REZ...

If the person who bought it from you put a gun to your head and said "Sell me your car for $1000 or else" then yes, you would be capable of legally gettting your car back (although you may have to pay the person back their $1000) obviously provided that you could prove such an incident occurred. Now, how is this in the immigration catergory?
