Sounds like a throatatic pregnancy where a rogue embryo with a lack of sense of direction goes up instead of down. Don't worry, it'll disappear naturally in 9 months. Just in case it's not though, why not do the intelligent thing and go see a doc. You're obviously concerned about it and there are loads of intelligent idiots here who preach knowledge but know nothing or even less. Asking questions here is like going to Walmart and stopping people in the aisles and asking them to do a heart transplant on you. I've tried it and it wasn't a success. I had to ask 4 people before I found a heart surgeon, but unfortunately he couldn't do it at that time as he had to get to McDonalds to perform an emergency colonic irrigation.

the little punching bag in the back of your throat and it is called a Uvula and it is just a fleshy extention of your soft palate. It has no real function it does not help stop food from going down your windpipe the thing that does that is called an epiglottis. This does not help with sounds that is what your vocal cords are for. The uvula is useless and if it was removed now there would be no adverse reaction to it.

It is called the uvula and I believe it assists with pronouncing certain sounds that are made in the back of the throat. English doesn't really have any of those sounds but other languages like French and German do.
