MY grandaughter ran away july 15th.2006 from va. beach, va. she tells people she is 17 but is only 14.her name is DESTINEE. I AM WORRIED SOMETHING MAJOR COULD HAPPEN TO HER. MY daughter said she is in the company of a 20 year old man. THE police were called the guy will be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and trespassing since he was in there home. I am her grandmother and i am worried. do es anyone have any advice????????

Pictures everywhere. In local markets, gas stations, etc. Ask merchants if they have seen her and explain the situation. ASk the local paper if you can put her picture in for free, call the local news and ask if you can get a spot on there to make a plea to her, call the radio stations that she listens to and ask the same,
On the average, teens run away for three to five days and they are really embarrassed to come back. In the news and radio releases mention your love and concern for her and that you just want to know that she is okay.
Have you listed her as a runaway with the police? That needs to be done because then it will go to all surrounding areas and you will have many people looking. It sounds as if you might have done that already. Keep asking friends........she will contact someone. Continual thing to do.............pray.
