We had to be separated from our Heavenly Father in order to know good from evil and to choose between the two. With Heavenly Father there was no evil. We are here to learn and to grow. Heavenly Father has already done this. Jesus Christ came down to earth and did his part through his atoning sacrifice. Our part is to choose the good or the evil and live accordingly. Then we can return to the God of our choice.
