Depends on what side you are on. If you are the aggressor then yes. If you are defending yourself then no.

Until you get 100% of the world's population to believe that, there will always be wars because there will be someone who feels the need to be an aggressor. They will typically get enough of a following to try and overpower some other group. People have a right to defend themselves against aggressors.

I think war also shows what limitations we human animals really have, in that we cannot always resolve things otherwise, regardless of how intelligent we claim to be.

Wars are only pointless unless you are the victor. Win a war or two and people think twice about messing around with you. How many countries would dare attack America or China?

There has never been a war that has been fought that was pointless. For instance the bayonet has been in every war in different shapes and sizes and its point has been felt by many.

In reality since the fall of man in the garden of Eden and our separation from fellowship with God man has lost his ability to love. Christ came to fix this problem by dying for us and sending us the Holy Spirit to guide us. It is only through Christ that the Father is revealed and only through God Can man love his neighbor and not start wars.

Only a fool who has never been hurt by someone or encountered a truly evil person could believe that wars are pointless.

Everyone else with their "nothing is worth fighting for" attitude sounds to me like a bunch of homos trying to take the moral high ground while adding nothing to the debate themselves.

Most, but not all. Most end up only with lost lives, and huge debts. But, I believe some wars, that bring freedom, are worth it. I mean without the American Revolution, there would be no America.

All wars are completely pointless. Why can't we be civilized beings and discuss our problems instead of acting belligerent?! Don't get me wrong, I appriciate all that our soldiers are doing out there. They're risking their lives for the safety and welfare of our lives and freedom. I just don't want to wake up one day to find out that one of my friends was killed in action.

Its immature enough fight. Especially if you are a bully. but to employ weapons with unlimited destructive power is simply irrational. Violence can only escalate til everyone is dead.
On the other hand a country has every right to defend itself against aggression. If a man broke into my house to defend myself and my family I would prevent him. At whatever cost.

This childish opinion can only be held by someone who knows absolutely zero history.
By the way, thank a vet that you're not reading this in a foreign language.
