ok i'm going into pubilc high school this year and i'm a little worried.
see, untill now i've been in private school and to make it worse i've been in the same school the entire time.i have never had to go to a new school and have had the same friends since kindergarten. now only 2 of my friends are going to the same high school as me. i Have no idea how to act or really even make new friends because i've never been faced with this problem before. I NEED HELP!! oh and if anyone is going to fort dorcester high school in Carleston SC let me know cause thats where i'm going.

I think every teenager out there would be happy if there was some kind of guideline or rule book for highschool. Truth is, there isn't... and basically, the best advice I can give you is to be yourself and tell yourself over and over again when it gets rough that university is ten times better, ah ha. It's true, it is.

Hey, just be yourself, if you had friends at your other school. I'm sure you'll be just fine at your new school........you're not the only one who's afraid of going to high school in general.....this is a learning process for you....
If I were you I would go to the local gym, libray, cafes, and other places of interest to meet your peers who will be attending your school in the fall.
It will be a breeze for you....Good Luck

IM going to high school to im really exicted just remember this high school is how you make it and if you aren't with a bad crowed u won't have to worry about bad stuff its going to be fun

Don't worry about it. Just act normal & dress fly.If you act normal then youll make frends that are like you & if u dress fly then you wont be the geeky boy in your class.

Just relax. The public school will probably be alot bigger then your old one, so there are lots of oppurtunites to meet people.
