I didnt and my Life was a mess.why do the young people not learn from there parents mistakes

I think its fear. There is no proof that Jesus is not God. Infact, leading apoligetics experts have out ruled all "scientific proof" for evolution. They have given every reason why Christ is Lord, and no one is satisfied. Why? The unkonwn. Imagine if your life was not in your control. Infact, while your life was not in control, you were enduring persecution, criticism, and trials. You would be pretty afraid too. However, they don't realize that if you ask God, He will answer! In fact, he will do all that is necessary to make sure you endure....if you want. In fact, once God has your life, you'll know Joy, something you won't know apart from Him! To be fearless, wise, and clear minded. Sounds pretty good eh? The key is, do you have what it takes to live a life of total surrender? No...no body does. However I serve a God who is merciful, who empowers those who are available. If you are available, he will make you capable. Just say, Jesus, have my life. He'll do the rest. You may be filled with His presence, you may not feel a thing, however, GOD IS DOING SOMETHING. Some good places to start if some one is interested in giving their life to the Eternal God, is Josh McDowells book, More than a Carpenter, or answers that demand a verdict. Another book is, A Case For Christ by Lee Stroble. That should start your journey. Facts are out there for those seeking them. It only depends on if you are willing. I DARE YOU TO ASK GOD TO DO SOMETHING IN YOUR LIFE, I DARE YOU! He will and when He does, you'll be changed! Not like in the slave zombie way, but in the freedom life embracing way.

I think it's because when you are young you think your parents have no clue of what's going,and they've never felt what your are feeling because what happened to you will never happen to me, and they think this temporary life is going to last forever, I have time to serve the Lord When I'm older,when in reality age doesn't really matter,there small graves as well as big ones. However you're blinded because this is what you want and your going to do it,until it all falls down around you. And now you needs your parents or parent to pick up the broken pieces. If they would only take the time to read Gods Word and find out what he said they'd know what he said:
in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you saith the LORD,thoughts of peace,and not of evil,to give you an expected end.
He has so many promises that we all most miss out on when we are young and head strong,but that God for praying Family members!

There probably isn't a good answer as to why they don't.
From some of the answers here, some don't believe at all.
I don't go to church but I do believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and I have seen the Lord work in many ways, many
relationships saved, strengthened. I think it's probably
because people expect that immediate fix, right now and
the Lord works in his way and in his time. I think having
faith and patience is the hardest thing when it comes to praying and believing

well im 15 and i never paid attention in church, barely go now. i dont put jesus first or anything. i dont even think about it. my godmother gave me some bullshit book about Jesus is #1, then family then friends and all of that type..of stuff.
I would have to say Friends first, then family then ..well jesus would be far away from the 3rd spot.

well, jesus doesn't pay the bills or wash the car or cut the grass or support good music. so I'd say if you have to turn to jesus to save a marriage then you're probly screwed cause he aint gonna do anything about it.

The way it was for me and many other people i think is that they need to learn on there own.If you learn something the hard way your less likely to do the same thing again.

cos there are lots of forbidden stuff that people do but once you include God in your relationship then you will need to stop doing those things because God wants you to do them in the institution of marriage, besides they wanna enjoy themselves
