There you learn plastering, dry lining, building a wall, drain digging, cabinet fitting, guttering, a small bit of plumbing/pipework, drainage, painting and decoration. What do you think? its it really worth while? is there prospects of a job out of this?

Having the NVQ 2 in Multi Construction Skills is the best way into general construction, and will lead to a more specialised/technical area of work.

Any NVQ is worth having - I have got 3 and it hasn't done my career any harm.

For sure it is, All major construction companies, mine included, are looking only for trained people. without a qualification, you will not get a job
