as u can see 9 answered your question and none of them said they were doing anything wrong , so if they do not think it's wrong or can't even say so just because the ones doing it are Americans is because of simple hypocrisy .

although even whit the 9 answers u received i have to tell u that most Americans do not think the way this people think , they have an agenda and their agenda is to lie , lie and to lie . that's all they know how to do and that is what they will continue to do .

as a Mexican i do not think the way Mexicans have had to immigrate to America has been the right one however i do understand why they do it and i know that to do it the right way would be almost impossible for most of them because of the jobs they perform . i do blame both the American and the Mexican government for not offering them the right ways to do it and i hope the solution which the senators had given to the Americans and the Americans have approved to be instated as soon as possible to prevent the deaths of many more .

I think you better read the article again. It says: "Mexican employers know the law and yet hire Americans routinely and just “pay them under the table in cash”. Private business owners are not routinely hassled by the federal government here. The proof of this is that there are scores of foreigners working in Mexico for private employers without work papers for years and no one bothers them!"

It also says: "If you had an accounting degree, had worked at Sony in their accounting department, and had a lot of experience handling multi-million dollar accounts, you could be in big demand in Mexico. The reason is that more and more Mexican businesses need English speakers to conduct business in English with America and the rest of the English-speaking world."

So for you to generalize and say that "Americans think it's OK to work in Mexico illegally" is not a correct statement and based on this statement from that article: "If you had a degree from an American university, and could more or less figure out through your personal research how to teach English to Mexicans, you could very possibly beat out a Mexican national who had an English degree from an American university and was certified to teach ESL. The reason is that you could teach English as a native speaker and the Mexican national could not." The article implies that the Americans that DO work there illegally are more qualified to do the job than the Mexican natives are.

When you add to this the corrupt Mexican government who doesn't enforce against illegal workers you get Americans AND other foreign nationals taking jobs away from the indigenous Mexicans.

I don't think that your question is valid as I don't know any Americans myself that think this is an OK practice however, based on the article you cite, it seems to me that any problems that DO exist with this are created by the Mexican government more so than Americans that are willing to take jobs there illegally.

Just because some do it doesn't mean we (as a country) think it's okay. Some people rob banks, but we don't think that's okay.

So you're trying to justify the wrong of Mexicans' violation of the U.S. border by saying some American illegally work in Mexico? Two wrongs don't make a right.

And this should be the last topic you bring up because Mexico has some of the most severe immigration and work laws in the world. If the U.S. was to adopt Mexico's immigrations and work laws, all the Mexicans (illegal AND legal) would be screwed.

What's wrong with just building the border fence? I fully support that idea...I've never set a pinky-toe in Mexico nor is it my intention to. They can go rot and starve or have a pinata party or whatever they consider 'fun' there, and keep the drugs and the poverty and the rest of their social problems OUT of the United States...thanks!

That's garbage. He provides absolutly no proof. Saying I know this person and that person and they are doing this and that is not proof, except to a liberal.

Here is another thing. The few he talks about is a far cry compared to the 12 million illegal mexicans.

If you are going to come on here or anywhere else making your liberal claims, you better have some proof to back it up. I know this and I know that is not proof.

Are there 20 million of us there? Are we sucking your welfare states dry? Are we demanding everything in English? Are we organinzing to take land in Mexico and cede it to America?

Uh...gimme a break.

If the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing, then Mexico is a not a country of laws, we are, and you'll have to get used to it.

Thanks for the article. As to your question ... who cares. Mexicans think nothing of coming here and working without "papers" so why make a big deal over it.
