when i broke up with my bf he looked like he was about to start crying. is that normal, or did i really do something horrible to his emotions and ego?should i feel bad, or be like "oh well?" since he cried, does that mean that was something that he didn't want to hear? or that he still wanted to be with me?

Why did you break up... You busted his ego, and guess that he did have some feelings for you... With out knowing why you broke up its very hard to say...Sorry ROB

You going back to him on the basis of him feeling bad will not get to the root of the problem. You obviously thought breaking up was the right thing to do, you should probably stick by your decision. It is okay to "feel a little bad" about what you did but you are the most important person in your life because if you aren't happy then how can you do anything good for others?! People usually are scared and confused when things end so I think that was normal for him to look like he was about to cry. It was your terms not his so it may have been unexpected. A quote I once heard was as follows and I don't know if I believe this but here goes.... "nothing ever ends well... that's why it ends". Treat yourself well please.

Um... maybe u should talk to him. It could be a lot of different things like why u broke up with him of that he is heartbroken, or like u said he still wants to be with you. Or he could just want to make u feel bad. I f it is really something worth braking up over, don't talk to him. If u still think there is a chance between u gyuys, give him a call and make up. I'm sure u guys could work it out.

His emotions and ego are his problem. If he was going to cry over something like this. It's really good he showed this side of himself before something really bad happened !!!

Who cares? You broke up with him for a reason, I presume. Don't let his emotions lead you to make a bad decision. Be strong and stick to you decision. I know that it is hard seeing a dude cry, but you have to do what is best for you. Don't let his emotions get in the way of that. The reason that you broke up with him for haven't changed just because he was about to cry.

How old are you???? Maybe if you are asking these obvious or vague questions you shouldn't have a boyfriend at all. Why do you cry? Does he cry on a regular basis? Think about it...he'll probably thank you in the long run.

He could have severe separation anxiety. He could have severe abandonment issues. He could have loved you deeply but was unalbe to handle the pain of rejection. IN any case, you have the absolute right to move on. He has to handle hios own isses and shouyld see a professional or get into a group.

That mean that you hurt his feelings. He must really care about you to have cried when you broke up with him girl you just let go of a man you really cared about you.

Depends. Most guys don't show their emotions easily, so he may just be sensitive. Then again, maybe he was more into you than you were into him. Don't feel bad, just don't try to hurt him by telling his friends he cried. You must have meant something to him to bring him to tears.

He was hurt. You shouldn't feel bad, but you should be receptive. Maybe he has never been dumped... it depends on how long you were together... etc. Be a friend if he needs you (if you are comfortabel doing that). You need to take care of yourself first, and if you have enough energy, help him through this hard time.
