I don't know about Oscar Meyer, but Farmer John uses the brisket from pigs to make the hot dogs.
If you hold your arm straight up over your head, the brisket would be below the armpit and next to the chest. It's behind ham on a pig.
When buying hot dogs, you always want to look for "No Fillers" and "No Byproducts." If the label says anything about mechanical, or MPM or mechanically pulled meat don't buy it (you don't want to know why).
The laws are extremely vague as to what parts of an animal can be used for human consumption.

that is a commerce secret - a lifeless ringer for the recipe for Coke. i visit guarantee you that they are all Cow meat yet very few people surely comprehend which factors of the cow (if categorized beef franks). probably factors that are inexpensive along with lips, hoofs, leg meat, neck meat, etc.
