Why shouldn't he test humanity? Maybe He/She already created perfect beings and wanted to try their hand at imperfect. I think it probably revolves around the paradox of free will. I suspect the perfect beings don't have it or not much of it, because they are perfect they discern the will of God readily and don't have to guess or struggle with all of the manifestations of mundane reality that we do.

God did create everything perfect and He still does. He also gave man a free will to make choices. He wants to be praised and worshipped by man's own free will. If He had wanted otherwise, He would have made man to be like "robots". It's just like a king who would appreciate it more if he were to be honoured and praised willingly by his subjects. It's because of man's own doing that God's creations seem "in perfect".

There are a lot of questions that the future clerics will have to answer if they want to maintain a belief in God.

It seems that the "first" act of corruption started in heaven, with the devil trying to revolt. This does not make any sense.

Because he is a cruel trickster? Imagine an 8-year old delinquent, kneeling over an ant hill, with a magnifying glass, at high-noon. That's god.

Man... I'm sure glad he doesn't exist.

Be careful what you speak , you will be judged by every idle word you say . If He made us perfect , we wouldn't need Him and that wouldn't be good at all .
