i have a cold, so i went to the doc and he said my body will sort it out, but its a week and now i am coughing up a green flem with brown chunks in it and it tasts like sulfa? it sounds yuckie i know, can anyone tell me if this is normal with a simple cold?

you very possibly have pneumonia. Go to your doctor again.

Yes, but it kind of sounds like walking pneumonia as well or a chest cold;at least the mosquitos shouldn't be biting you this week so no need to worry @ west nile virus, however becareful of mad cow disease and the bird flu: GoOD LUck!

Get back into the docs. You could have streph, or maybe even broncitis. Green means an infection.
