I dont want a credit card for the account i just want to get the credit for her paying on it.

Be sure when she adds you that you are added as an authorized user and not as joint. Being an AU, you cannot be legally held liable for the charges, should anything happen to your girlfriend. Being a joint user, you will legally be held liable for the charges.

Be sure that the card has an excellent history and low utilization.

Believe it or not, some credit card issuers do report authorized users to the credit bureaus. As long as she keeps the account in good standing, then it could help you assuming her creditor is one that does report authorized users.

no ...they dont even check your credit when you are a authorized buyer/user
