Ok cute is no object, if you don't like him, forget it. I would suggest avoiding him as much as possible, but don't let him know. Make it look like you are doing your own thing. If he approaches you, listen. That way he would be suspecting something. He eveuntually will leave without breaking his heart.
But.. (here comes the fun part) if you don't care about breaking his heart, slap him across the face and walk away with elegance.

How old are you?? If you are younger then 18, honey... explain to him in the nicest voice possible that you are too young o think about boys! Let him know there is so much in this world to do and to learn before you become a grown up and you don't have time to get your heart broken over puppy luv.

You don't seem to be very definite about your problem. Maybe you should flirt a little with him and see how things progress. You think he is cute, but you haven't really explained why you dislike him. Many relationships start this way and then dislike turns to like and then love.
