I am five months with twins and I am suffering with so many things, but the most annoying thing is that my nipples stay hard, extremely hard and sensitive 24HOURS A DAY! I hate it! Even putting on shirts without a bra causes me to feel icky! Are there any pregnant women or former pregnant women that had this happen to them? If so, what did you do to relieve it?

i had twins and when i was about 4-5 months pregnant i had the same problem, i bought nursing pads and put them in my bra, but i also put vasoline on my nipples to keep them from becoming sore from the rubbing on the bra and pads, it did seem to help alot, and at night i used warm washcloths. Congrats on your twins, mine are so much fun....

I was pregnant with twins and I had they same problem and I found putting a warm wash cloth on them helped also a heating pad. I wish you the best.

Thank you I thought I was alone. I am using a warm wash cloth, Tylenol and a well padded bra it seems to help. Also talk to the doc about other options.

My wife used a padded bra, but "breast shells" are also available.

Look here:

My wife didn't like the idea of taking any kind of medicine she could avoid, so you may have to leave the bra on if thats the case.

Try some salve, the one in a big green tin, and then put a hankie folded small in your bra, this helped me.

All I can say is get to a doctor. Your twins might be in danger as well.

Yes, you need to talk to your doctor about this, as far as I know, this much tenderness isn't normal.

What my doctor told me is, sadly there isn't much you can do. Warm cloths on your breasts may help. It helped me.
