Guys look for an "independant" woman because they are checking out the women's abilities to take care of them. The stronger, more independant the woman, the more the man thinks she can take care of him as well as his Mommy did!

Personally, I like a girl that has her own mind. I like for her to make her own decisions. In other words, a strong-mind woman. NO, it doesn't mean I only want sex. A independent woman knows that.

That is absolutely untrue. This is only my opinion but a woman needs a man that will accept her whether she is independent or dependent. If a man doesn't want anyone unless she is independent than that can cause a big problem.
The reason I say this is because I have been independent since I was 15 years old, living on my own. Even during my first marriage I was independent. I didn't want to depend on anyone.
I met my 2nd husband in 2001, we got married in 2003. I couldn't be happier, my heart still flutters when he gets in from work...oops got caught up in the moment....In March 2005, I lost my ability to be independent. I am ill and suffering from illnesses that have no known cure. So now, I am at the stage in my life that I have to depend on someone else to help me. I can't stand it. I want to work but I can't. I want to be able to cook supper without having to sit down in a chair in front of the hot stove to cook, I want to be able to stand up to do dishes, heck I would love to be able to shave my own legs, unfortunately I can't. But that hasn't stopped my husband from loving me. He said he married me in sickness and in health and he meant it. He is still here right beside me.
So women & men don't settle for someone that only wants you to be independent because that only says that they will not be there for you if you ever become dependent.

No... they want a woman that isn't going to need them to do everything for them. Example... I was going to a tech school, and the housing they offered was bought out by a separate company and all of the students were kicked out. We had a month to find something, and on the last day, this one girl that I started dating about 3 days before we were to be out of the apartments, STILL had not found a place to live, and wasn't able to figure out how... when all we had to do was to sign another lease with the new owners and pay for it ourselves.
A guy wqants a woman that is able to survive on her own, and does not need to bother us to solve the littlest little episodes of their lives.

Absolutely not. Don't get me wrong I love sex, but that only accounts for three or four hours a day what do you do the rest of the time? I guess I just don't like women who are unintelligent. I've dated a few girls where it was liketalking to a wall and they had no idea what I was talking about and I hated it.

certainly not
In any relationship, personal space is a must. Most guys are afraid of girl who may become clingy, wanting to go everywhere and do everything with them. It's not that we don't want to spend time with you, it's that we want to know that you are still your own person, capable of activites, dreams, goals and aspirations, that are not defined by the relationship. sex is always secondary. If you are getting the vibe from a guy that he only wants sex, you are probably right

No, I am more interested in a woman who can make decisions on her own, I mean making decisions as a couple is great, but there would be times when you may have to make a decision without me being there, and I would trust any decision you would have to make on your own. *smiles* and bigger hugs
