some people aren't happy unless they can bring someone else down. if your doing a good job who cares what others think. keep doing what your doing that works. and hats off to you, 8 kids?? wow!!

Because people don't think that you can give each child the attention they deserve. That is totally and completely wrong. If you can have that many kids and they are well taken care of, then there is nothing wrong with it. I actually admire the really big families. My "mom" has 6 kids, 7 including me, and they are the happiest bunch of people you have ever met. As long as the woman is up for it, go ahead. I think the only time you should not have a big family is:
1. You can't support that many kids, financially or emotionally
2. One man has 8 kids with 8 different women, or one woman has 8 kids with 8 different men.
Other than those 2 reasons, I say go for it, and have fun!

It depends on what they are saying and whether or not it is true. If you can afford 8 kids and are truly doing a good job raising them without public assistance I salute you! If you are like far too many in our society and found that increasing the number increased your welfare check then you should have been sterilized. You know whick category you fit into. I hope it's the first one. Just my opinion.

Some people look down on others for having sooo many kids when the average family in the US has 2.5 kids (yes, half a kid). Don't let others get to you though. Keep raising those kids. That's all that matters.

it is just so unusual these days. Most people can't imagine how they themselves could do it, so transfer those feelings to you. Dont sweat them - they dont know what they are talking about.
BTW I have 6 brothers and 1 sister and more respect for my mom and dad everyday. Don't know how they did it :)
