People have to pick and choose through so many things when selecting a mate. It seems no 2 people perfectly matched. So at some point there must be a compromise. The skill lies in being just picky enough and finding the important things.

personally speaking, every serious relationship I have ever been in, the main person making sacrifices and getting hurt was myself. I usually come to the conclusion that I should never have started the relationship and what a big mistake I have made. My partners on the other hand seem to gain confidence and their egos are so boosted that they develop the ability to do things that they had never done previously in life. Whether that be, seek a new relationship, or career, friends (usually mine,) or move house. So try to think with your head and not your heart and do things you know will benefit yourself in the future. Don't make yourself into the door mat, Be selfish and ultimately wise! Be kindest to your self. Don't let anyone tell you that -'no man is an island', because it can be achieved. Do what you instinctively feel is right and not what others are telling you to do all the time. Make yourself happy and not other people. However, if you refer to a parents love for their children then yes there is always sacrifice and someone is always miserable about it whether it is the child or the parent or both. Life is just complicated.

Because when u really love someone you are willing to sacrifice anything to keep that love alive and to make sure that the person that you love is happy. And i know that sometimes the sacrifices may hurt one or both parties but when the ordeal is taken care of then everyone is usually happy again. I mean love is a hard thing to have and it takes a great deal of work to acheive true love. But in the end the rewards are endless.

Our lives are filled with obstacles, that is what makes up human. We are given chances to make choices, those choices may be good or bad ones, but nothing is predestined for us.
The sacrifices we make, make us stronger as people, and the choices are accepted by those who truly love us.
They hurt because they are the toughest, and they are the toughest because they hurt. We must perservre, and choose what is best for us, and no other.

St. Guido has a point. There will always be some sacrifices in relationships. Sometimes it happens when you want the very best of your mate. In other words, see her happy.

No matter how in Love two people are, there are always times when one will love the other more, and visa versa. When that happens, it feels as if your partner, spouse, whatever.. is ungrateful for what you have done, because maybe they do not know how to tell the other person, or~show them.

IF U TRULY LOVE SOMEONE HOW CAN IT BE A LARGE SACRIFICE..I MEAN WE ARE ALL INDIVIDUALS SO IN THE LONG RUN SOMEONE HAS TO DO SOME CHANGES LIKE...ME MOVES IT TO YOUR PLACE OR SHE HAS TO GIVE UP HER FURNITURE... HE HAS TO GET RID OF HIS CAT BECAUSE IT MAKES HER EYES WATER ETC...BUT TO ME THIS IS JUST SMALL STUFF...AS LONG AS THE OTHER PERSON ISN'T EXPECTING THE OTHER ONE TO GIVE UP EVERYTHING.... LIFE IS A COMPROMISE RIGHT? AND REMEMBER LOVE IS THE KEY WORD HERE.......

At some point in any relationship you must do something you are not entirely into, but if you think about it, if that is making the person you love happy; shouldn’t that make you happy as well.
